Hello, I like the fact Mozilla is secure and would like eWallet to open with that. Problem is that it opens in IE 11 and even though i have set Mozilla as default and have set it to open eWallet in Mozilla it continues to open in IE 11. I have contacted Illium software to explain problem and they suggested the steps that i have made it is still not working hence my contacting you. Please contact me with a solution. Thank you, Joe

Hi Foxhuntter Joe,

Thank you for your question. I understand that you have set Mozilla to default. Please try Setting Firefox as the default browser does not work - What to do and Make Firefox your default browser and update to version 29 to fix some security issues.

If the issue continues please Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.

You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one.

Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.

Hello rmcguigan,

I am using a Dell Venue 11 Pro Tablet with V8.1 windows. I only have Avast for free programs and will look into the other programs that you have suggested once I get eWallet to work properly.

I looked and accomplished what you have suggested but when clicking on a link in eWallet it continues to open in IE 11 and this is after shutting down and restarting the tablet. The menu screen shot doesn't look the same as yours in V8.1 compared to XP but using Internet Options I was able to make the changes to make Firefox the default program using the Vista menu.

After making the changes it still opens in IE 11. I would like to ask if you can suggest another option please. If you need more information from me please ask. By the way, looking at Options and the General tab it does show that Firefox is currently your default browser.

Will await your reply. Thank you, Joe
