I have the more recent version of Firefox. And my computer's been blue screening me recently. and yesterday after I got it to stop, it somehow resetted my Firefox! I got most of it fixed but it's not letting me save my previous session no matter what I do. It doesn't ask me to restore previous session, I tried to set it up so it would restore my session every time I open Firefox and that doesn't work. It doesn't even want to warn me if I want to close it. Seriously, I have no idea what I'm doing wrong

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode.

To see all History and Cookie settings, choose:

  • Tools > Options > Privacy, choose the setting Firefox will: Use custom settings for history
  • Deselect: [ ] "Always use private browsing mode"

You can also try to reset all prefs.

Hi Kandie,

Have you looked at the Session Restore Knowledge Base article? There is a lot of useful information in there.

You could also try deleting the Sessionstore.js file just in case it has been corrupted.

Hopefully this helps!

I pretty much tried everything that it said in that article, and nothing worked. Some of it actually made Firefox stop working. I don't know if it's Firefox not acting right, or if my computer was making it do that. But it was weird irregardless.

I am kind of paranoid of deleting the file because I have no idea what that's going to do. I don't even know how it's going to help me save tabs.

The thing was never on private. So I don't have to worry about that

Also the resetting preferences worked. Even though I had to restart it. Thanks for that!
