Firefox just updated to version 7 and suddenly it is not responding to every action I try to take that involves loading a web page, g-mail account, or searching for something. Pretty much every action. I have never had any problems before. I am running Win7 on a relatively new laptop. I have a DSL connection that is not timing out and has never previously timed out so that is not the problem. The problem started the second Firefox updated.

I can't deal with this. I will download a previous version if I can find it, but I will not use Firefox 7 until you fix this serious issue. If I can't find a previous version I will use another browser. How could it have been distributed like this? Please fix it.

Anyway, in a nutshell, that's it. Every action now results in a "not responding" message that does not resolve itself for a couple of minutes.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.

Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.
