The small 'home' icon takes me the Login/password screen. How can I get back to home w/o re-entering my password?

When I get several screens deep and wish to return to 'home-page' I cannot use the home icon (small silhouette of a house) . . . it takes me to a signon screen where I have to re-enter my password. How can I go directly to my homepage?
