Hello, For me, there is no substitute for browsing with Firefox. But for some time now I've been getting notices that I'm not using the current browser version, for example in my email program and the banking application. However, Firefox info in the menu says that I am using the current version and there are no updates available. Here is the Firefox version shown to me: 78.15.0esr (64-bit) I work with an iMac of the following version: iMac (21.5 inch, from 2010) - OS X El Capitan version 10.11.6 (15G22010); - Processor: 3.06GHz Intel Core i3; - Memory: 4GB 1333MHz DDR3; - Graphics card: ATI Radeon HD 4670 256MB Maybe my computer is too old for the latest version, but why does Firefox Info show me that the browser is up to date and there are no updates? Thank you very much for a tip Uwe

Hi, this is the last version of Firefox available for El Capitan 10.11 and there's no more updates for this OS. Newer computers are still receiving updates, now we have versions 118 and 115.3ESR.

You should update your OS to at least 10.12 to be able to use recent versions of Firefox.

Thank you very much, I will inquire in the Mac forum whether I can still update my operating system to 10.12 with my hardware. Uwe

Firefox 78.15.0esr was the last to still support the old EOL macOS 10.9, 10.10, 10.11.

Fx 115 ESR requires macOS 10.12 (ten.twelve) at minimum while Fx 116 and later requires macOS 10.15 (ten.fifteen) at minimum. The last major update for 115 ESR will be 115.15.0esr in Sept 2024.
