I cannot get Thunderbird to not be the defalt browser

I have used Thunderbird for quite some time. It recently crashed and had to be reloaded. When I did the install I checked the box for it to not be the default browser, it still loaded and became default. I deinstalled and installed several times with the same result. There is something Im missing. Any ideas?

I presume you meant default email client. Which email client are you using that you want to be the default?
