Since the last update my default browser is Yahoo, and the list in Preferences contains only BrowserDefault and PlaySearchNow.

I am getting really skeptical about any new updates from you guys.

How do I get my list of browsers back, specfically Google?!

Hi

Do you mean search engines as shown in "Options/Preferences -> Search" ?

Is "Restore Default Search Engines" enabled ?

You can check for recently installed suspicious or unknown extensions.

You can try to rename/remove search.json.mozlz4 (and possible search.json, search-metadata.json, search.sqlite) in the Firefox profile folder with Firefox closed to rebuild the search engines registry.

You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.

Firefox will rebuild search.json.mozlz4 from the builtin search engines.

Note that Firefox 79 and newer releases require Mac OS X 10.12 or newer.
Users on Mac OS X 10.9 and 10.10 and 10.11 have been moved to the Firefox 78.x ESR version.

Important - macOS 10.9, 10.10 and 10.11 users move to Extended Support Release
