Hello-Please answer each question separately:.

1. Just to double-change, is it safe to open the pop-up list because I am only checking what has already been blocked OR does viewing them open them with the potential for more pop-ups to be displayed?

2. Does the list of pop-ups have to be 'cleared' manually or does it delete automatically when the tab is closed?

There is no list.

Visit the site that I mentioned above. The pop-ups there are simple html images.

Hi Buddy2014 , What Pop-up list are you referring to ?

RobertJ:

I am referring to the pop-up blocker (between the shield and keylock icons on the address bar).

When you select Show Blocked Pop-ups the pop-up will open in another window.

Go to http://www.popuptest.com/

It's a safe site to test your pop-up blocker.

Robert:

You are misunderstanding me.

When Firefox blocks a pop-up, an icon appears on the address bar.

One, is it safe to open the pop-up list because I am only checking what has already been blocked OR does viewing them open the pop-ups with the potential for more pop-ups to be displayed?

Two, does the list of pop-ups have to be 'cleared' manually or does the list delete automatically after clearing date and closing the tab?

I hope my questions are clearer now.

1.) The "safety" of viewing a pop-up depends on what you do. If you click on something in the pop-up, well... Viewing a pop-up doesn't turn off your pop-up blocker.

2.) Blocked pop-ups are not stored anywhere.

more options

Obviously I am 'still' being unclear.

1. My pop-up blocker is enabled, it detects a pop-up, and it is blocked.

The icon appears to let me how many pop-ups have been blocked for this session and I can 'view' the list. Is merely 'viewing' it unsafe or is it only a list?

2. Are you saying that even though I can view the pop-up list of blocked pop-ups via the icon, once the tab is closed, the blocked pop-ups are not longer available to be viewed?

more options

1.) It isn't a list. It allows the pop-up. 2.) Blocked pop-ups are not stored. As near as I can determine, Viewed pop-ups are included in your cache (as temporary files).

Sighs.

The pop-up cannot be 'allowed' since it is 'blocked.'

I am asking about clicking on the icon (when at least one pop-up has been blocked) and seeing the option to view the pop-up 'that was blocked' in more detail.

Is it safe to 'view' the list of pop-ups since it is only a list?

If my simple question is confusing you, please leave it for someone else to answer.

You can click the pop-up icon on the location bar to inspect what pop-ups are blocked and decide if you want to allow (open) any of them. This list is tab related and is build automatically and you do not have to take any action to clear it. You can test that by switching to another tab.

Thank you for the clear response and for confirming what I already thought.
