Folders with bookmarks on the bookmarks toolbar pop up on another screen?

Using Firefox 71.0 (and previous), my bookmarks stored in folders on the Bookmarks Toolbar open up on another ddisplay than where Firefox is. I have to go to the opened meny on the other screen and select the bookmark there. This problem came with a resent update, but has been working nicely for several years before that.

I think I have a similar problem. Bookmark folders on the bookmark toolbar open sideways rather than filing downward below the folder as it used to. Not true for all though only some of them. Also, hovering over a bookmark folder no longer opens the folder ...?
