Websites that I regularly visit appear in my topwebsites (I have two rows of six icons each). It would be convenient if there would be a keyboard shortcut to open a specific website, similar to e.g. Ctrl+3 to go to the third open tab. Can't find the answer on this forum or anywhere else, have tried some semi-random combinations with no success. For info: I am on version 60.9.0esr (32-bits).

Hello,

This may not be what you are looking for, but you can create a shortcut icon in your desktop for your favorite website(s). Refer to: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/create-desktop-shortcut-website

You can also install an extension that would help to do exactly what you want, an example would be: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/shortkeys/

Please let us know if that solves your problem.

Thanks for your response. A shortcut icon on the desktop requires quite a few actions to access by keyboard, it defeats the purpose I'm after. The shortkeys addon that you refer to I didn't know. Reading through the documentation, it seems that the list of possible actions does not include what I want. For now, I have not tried it. I was hoping for a native FireFox shortcut. Until then, I'll continue using Ctrl+t for a new tab, then a mouseclick to go to my intended topwebsite.
