When the last version was updated the new one has no ClamAV - it is there, but it doesn't work in the new version. So please tell what to do?

Can I back the Thunderbird to the version before the last version? Or can I somehow make the ClamAV to work?

Regards,

Rumen

I would help greatly to cite version numbers and URLs - with the end result you get faster answers.

Is there someting I can do to fix that? Or I shall wait any update or something?

What version of clamAV are you talking about, and what version of Thunderbird?

My Thunderbird is 60.2.1 and ClamAv is 0.100.2.

The error I get is:

The add-on clamdrib LIN is not compatible with Thunderbird 60.2.1

That is an issue you need to address with the manufacturer of clamAV. Personally I would refuse to allow any anti virus junk into my copy of Thunderbird. Years of experience in this and other support forums leaves me with the belief that anti virus add-ons are worse than the things they purport to be helping you prevent, with data loss, Thunderbird crashes and simple failure to get mail all being commonly caused by those anti virus add-ons. They are bad news. They also do exactly nothing to increase your security.

Thunderbird has an option to allow anti virus to scan incoming mails and if that is turned on, then there is no reason at all for any anti virus to have itself involved in the running process that is Thunderbird, nor as a certifying Authority in the encryption chain of trust.
