I really need to be able to block autoplaying videos because of anxiety disorder; the tanj-blasted videos have set off more than one attack, bad enough that I consider it criminal assault.

Firefox is endangering my health because it autoplays every frakking video despite everything set to stop that.

Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web Link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here)

You can set this pref; media.block-autoplay-until-in-foreground = true

Type about:config<enter> in the address bar. If a warning screen comes up, press the I Accept the Risk button. At the top of the screen is a search bar.

There is this Extension that disables autoplay and preloading of HTML5 video and audio players. https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/disable-autoplay/

There is also the media.autoplay.enabled Preference however it is not recommended as it can break things with html5 video and audio and people can forget they set this preference.
