how do I know what wi-fi I'm using

I need to update my router netgear and it's telling me I'm not connected to the wi-fi.

This varies, but most often there is a little symbol in the lower right corner of your Windows Task Bar you use to manage your network connections.

If you're not connected to your router, whose router are you using??
