Firefox will not open on my new iMAC. It has been reinstalled at least 30 times but will not open, but requires Force Quit to stop it from bouncing in the Dock
I have a new iMac. After migrating my data and programs, Firefox would not open. The logo just bounces in the Dock. I have spent over 60 hours with Apple Tech Support updating, deleting, installing, reinstalling, etc. all to no avail. I have downloaded the latest version, and reinstalled MAC OS, clearing out tons of old files, caches, cookies and anything else anyone can imagine, but Firefox will not open. However, the system thinks Firefox is open and Force Quit is required to close it out and log off. System has been scanned for malware, etc. Safari and Chrome work.
What is the problem?

Are there any current bp- files you can include back https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-crashes-asking-support
You can try this, do not know if you have done it this way.
Please uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files(x86) Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved.
Reinstall Firefox 56.0.2 with a Full Version Installer https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/
