Every time i open Firefox it attepts to upload another copy! I have one new one already!
I have upgraded to the newest available version on my Mac Book Pro. But every time i select firefox from my menu bar the program pops up with the blue screen NEW VERSION screen and automatically starts loading another copy! I cancel it and then continue with the file download. However this is a bother and takes time and probably disk space. And it means sometihing is going wrong, and i am used to Firefox working right! Thanks!

Are you sure this is from Mozilla? There are many fakes out there.

SOLUTION: Remove /Users/<name>/Library/Caches/Mozilla/ which contained the directory /updates/Applications/Firefox/updates/
/Users/$u/Library/Caches/Mozilla/
Let’s do a full clean re-install;
Download Firefox For All languages And Systems {web link}
Save the file. Then Close Firefox.
Using your file browser, open the Programs Folder on your computer.
Windows: C:\Program Files C:\Program Files (x86)
Mac: Open the "Applications" folder. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-download-and-install-firefox-mac

Look for, and rename any Mozilla or Firefox program folders by adding .old to them. Do not rename the Mozilla Thunderbird folder if there is one.
