Troubles with Firefox updates losing
Firefox updates lose my home page, does NOT remember to close all tabs and starts with "welcome to firefox --everytime." Have to go to trouble shoot and refresh and add back all the addons I use. Yes I know how to set my home page, this problem happens every few months and I have had it.

Note: Some software, like Advanced SystemCare with Surfing Protection, can protect files in the Firefox profile folder against changes. If you have such software then check the settings or uninstall this software.
Hello FredMcd, Thanks but no firewall except the firefox built in one. Win. 7 and AVG virus subscription with no firewall. What happens that I lose my firefox profile so I have to go back to an earlier one if I can find it. It has been this way for years. Some updates are OK, but every few months this happens.
I just tried the old default profiles and the first 3 were new start ups. The last one is currently the one that has been corrupted by the update. Has all my tabs and addons but will not accept the new home ect.
Correction, " does remember to close all tabs" should be " DOES NOT remember to close all tabs"
Note: V55 has been giving users problems. Reinstall v54.

If you still want to downgrade, look under; I still want to downgrade. Click the Directory of other versions and languages link. Look for the directory of the version that you want. But, remember that old versions may have security issues.
