Firefox crashes
I click on Firefox and it opens, but if I type any thing into the search bar or try to access the internet in any way, Firefox takes a little less than twenty five seconds and says something like "Waiting for google.com" in the bottom left corner as usual, but after those twenty five seconds and no progress, Firefox crashes and a crash report comes up. If I don't try to access the internet and just leave Firefox up without doing anything, it still crashes after about half a minute. What should I do? I have already uninstalled and downloaded a fresh copy of Firefox and it is still having the same problem. It has nothing to do with my internet connection, which is fine.

hello, could you provide your latest few submitted crash reports? please enter about:crashes into the location bar, copy the latest few report ids from there starting with bp- & paste them here into a forum reply. this will give us a better understanding what may be triggering those crashes.

thanks, so those reports would indicate that something external on your system is prohibiting firefox to work properly and the crashes are a result of that. this could either be the sophos security software on your system (similar to what was described here for an older version of theirs) - so you should make sure that all it's components are updated or else see if you can whitelist firefox in its settings. i'm not familiar with this software, so i cannot really give targeted advice there...
in addition you should probably also run a scan of your system with various other security tools like the trial version of malwarebytes, adwcleaner & eset online one-time scanner.
I did have a virus on my computer, and it was Weatherbug. I was able to solve a similar problem to this but I think it may still be on my computer. Is that most likely the cause?
Run most or all of the listed malware scanners. Each works differently. If one program misses something, another may pick it up.
