I have the following problem: I have 2 Accounts in Thunderbird for 2 emails. I would like to save all emails form 1 Account into a folder on my PC. It will be a backup in case I delete an email that I will need later. Also I want to be able to move this folder with emails to my 2 Account (for example when I have more than 20 emails to move to my 2 Account and I don't want to move each email separately).

The main problem is: can I store emails from my Account into a folder as a backup just in case I will need them letter? If there is a different method to make backup for emails , then how to bring them back?

Thanks for advice in advance.

The easiest is to backup the entire profile. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Thunderbird_:_FAQs_:_Backing_Up_and_Restoring

It is not clear to me why you'd want to move messages from account 1 to account 2. For the backup that wouldn't make any difference.

You may want to archive messages though. See https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/archived-messages
