Firefox 43; lost bookmarks when taking FF's link to speed up FF; Found earlier version of bookmarks but not able to get them to display below the address bar.

Firefox 43; lost bookmarks when taking FF's link to speed up FF; Found earlier version of bookmarks but not able to get them to display below the address bar. Once they display below the bar (one row) I will re-add the multi-row toolbar. However, it appears that the version and/or the speedup that was recommended at the bottom of the screen may have invalidated the use of a multi-row toolbar. Is this correct and if so, how do I get it back?

Firefox 43; lost bookmarks when taking FF's link to speed up FF; Found earlier version of bookmarks but not able to get them to display below the address bar.
