I recently refreshed my firefox and I'm wondering if Flashblock OR Flashstopper is better in peoples opinions? I was using Flashblock. Love it and simply disabled it if I actually wanted to watch videos. I see that Flashstopper ranks a little higher yet, I'm seeing more complaints within the reviews. Just really looking for a suggestion OR suggestions on which I should use? Thanks!

By the way, if you have Shockwave Flash set to "Ask to Activate", there is an extension that refines the feature so that you can approve individual videos on a page instead of "all or nothing." If you're interested:

To set the permission:

Open the Add-ons page using either:

  • Ctrl+Shift+a
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Plugins. On the right side, look for "Shockwave Flash" and change "Always Activate" to "Ask to Activate".

To get the extension:

jscher2000,

Thank you so much for everything on my multiple questions! I still need to/want to go back and reread the info on copying my bookmarks from my old profile into my new profile AND a way to keep my bookmarks in my new profile in doing the above as I'm certain I've been given good direction on accomplishing those steps. Thanks!
