I have Thunderbird installed on a Surface Pro running Windows10 and on a Surface Pro running Linux Fedora. When I use the Windows10 computer to prepare a Thunderbird export file for the profile, the Fedora machine Thuderbird import command will not read it.

The Windows10 machine has Thunderbird 147 and the Fedora machine has 146. Is the difference in version responsible for the failure to import the profile files? Or is it something else?

If the difference is the version of Thunderbird, then how do I get 147 on my Fedora machine?

If it is something else, what do I do so that I do not lose saved emails and calendar data from 147 version when I am running the 146 version?

Can receive emails but cant send. "Insufficent system storage" but have emptied trash and got rid of all surplus messages. can access and send from bordernet site but not Thunderbird.

I tried unticking enable and it did NOT work. Help! I want the stupid filter gone. I have struggled for two years with the junk filter which does not work right. I have done shift J. The filter does NOT learn. A week aog, I saw that I could uncheck enable and that was supposed to stop the filter. That also did NOT work.

Today, an email I forwarded to myself from another platform went in junk. I never wanted any junk filter. It has been nothing but trouble and now I can't even disable it.

Why is it that everytime I try to open a link, you ignore my defaults and use firefox? I have another browser that I made my default because firefox has become so bloated as to be unusable- Do I have to delete firefox entirely to get you to use my defaults? firefox is NOT what I want to open in-- and yes, I know I can copy the link, which is what I usually do, but sometimes I forget-- then get infuriated at how bad firefox has become.

HI, I HAVE KINETIC FOR EMAIL, I HAVE ALL THE CORRECT INFO ENTERED IN SET UP YOUR EXISTING ACCOUNT AND IN INCOMING AND OUTGOING SERVERS AND I KEEP GETTING UNABLE TO LOG IN AT SERVER. When I downloaded Thunderbird e-mail it gave me little delete icons on the right of the page when there is a e-mail. The problem is that those icon have a very very small pixal box to click to use. Can that be fixed by me somehow? I don't know much and had to go to google to find this Q&A section. Please help me with this Fix.

Somewhere in my version of Thunderbird, there is an old adress of one of my correspondant which is recorded This adress is no longer valid and I have deleted it from my adress book Nonetheless, when I start to write my correspondant's name, this adress keeps being proposed among the first options for the automatic completion of the adress How can I delete this wrong adress from the hidden part where Thunderbird has stored it?

I'm just checking, is it near impossible to add an image to your signature? As old as thunderbird is why has this not been made easier or possible? Just curious, i cany be the only one. i have tried html in the box and attaching the html file.. I then read the image needs to be base64, tried that still nothing. After a few hours I'm sitting here thinking is this 1980? Please help, even if its to say not really possible. Sorry for being a bit snarky, I'm just confused why something so standard for years is so difficult.

Hello After Installing Thunderbird, and adjusted the settings to receive Outlook webmail, I have decided to stay with Outlook. Only problem is that I now receive two duplicate emails in Outlook. Please advise How I can correct this. Thank you

My problem is that JPEG attachments don't open, though PNGs do. I've got Original HTML actioned. Defaults are set to Fastone Image Viewer. Right click shows options but "open" doesn't work. Any ideas?

I just installed Thunderbird on an up to date Windows 11 PC and unchecked the box Automatically mark messages as read, but it keeps marking all of my messages as read.

Is it possible to copy just the Mail folder from a Thunderbird Profile backup in Time Machine on Mac? I have deleted an email account from Thunderbird and I did not tick Delete Data so the emails are still there in my Profile but they no longer show up in the tree in Thunderbird on my Mac ( OS 14.8 Sonoma). I had a lot of subfolders into which I had put incoming and sent emails on particular topics. For example I had a folder called Family, and inside that I had a subfolder called Birthdays as well as many other family related topics. My last Time Machine back up is about a month ago but that would be good enough to restore from. I tried ‘Import’ in Thunderbird but it only imported the main folders and the emails within but not the subfolders. I have another email address besides the deleted one and if I overwrite the whole Profile with the older one from Time Machine it will lose a lot of new stuff accumulated since that backup. Any help most appreciated

Hi Support, The last Thunderbird Version crash on Mac OS Sequoia 15.7.3 Mac Apple M2 Pro, 16 Gocot RAM The crash occurs after login to install a utility. => Therefore, I cant't use Thunderbird (I am a small Thunderbird doner). NB: I cant't find the command for starting Thunderbird in maintenance mode. Thanks for help

I decided to try the Send Later feature in Thunderbird. I am using T140esr and the About box says it'sup-to-date although I do see references in the forum to later versions.

I couldn't get it to work at first, but got there in the end. I would like to suggest to the developers that the buttons labeled "SEND NOW" and "PUT IN OUTBOX" be removed. These confused me. If I had wanted to send the message now or put it in the outbox, I would not have clicked the "Send Later" button in the first place. The "Send at ...", "In 15 mins", etc. buttons should be the only ones presented to the user.

It's a useful feature and I can see myself using it on a regular basis to send daily and weekly logs as attachments.
