These days, I was looking at my desktop computers, and I noticed how old I was. I am 65 years old, my computers are at least 5 years old, and I am a Linux user from the beginning. When the Xwindows system was so heavy for the cpus of those times, that there was no future for a Linux with Windows ... No way, to compete with Microsoft Windows!

But I am young spirited, so I am replacing now my desktop computers, both Linux and Windows with the "AndroidPC" box.

Why? Because nowadays we live with the Apps for every task. There are millions of them, for every possible use, and they are evolving daily. So I have to keep up to date, not easy! And it is also very practical, to use the "TV" also as "PC". And for us, the elder, when the eyesight starts failing, to have a big HDMI screen with big letters to work. I also use the same Apps. in my smartphone ansd tablet.

What is the Android PC? it is the certified (Google Play Store) AndroidTV box, you can get for 50 USD or less, quad core, 4Gb + 64GB. A bargain! I am waiting now that the octa core, 8Gb + 128Gb gets cheaper ....

There are a couple of native Apps for it. Most of the Apps are working, by sideloading them from Google.

Let see how it develops. Anyway, I am happy with the results! I am working on a daily basis with it. Almost all the internet browsers work, I had to take an older Brave version. The Google infrastructure and Google programms work fine. No time for now, to test the Microsoft infrastructure in the AndroidTV enviroment. I can move around my 10TB (5 x 2TB NTFS hdds) movie collection. FTP works. I still have problems, with the Xmeye cloud based software for the security cameras, it is not full screen. And it really uses almost no power, the box is not warm, no fan required!

Comparing with the beginning of Linux, with not enough cpu power. For this "dream", Google requires only to implement slight changes, to their multiple concurrent software platform development. I hope, it will merge alone, the "AndroidPC".

So I would be very thankfull to the programmers, if they could include a native Firefox Browser for the AndroidTV box!

I am running Ff 114.0.2 on a Windows 11 workstation and Ff mobile on a Samsung Galaxy S20. Syncing is enabled on both devices, but passwords are not syncing, even after manually syncing. Autofill of usernames and passwords works on my workstation, but not on my mobile device, even though that feature is enabled. Sometimes (but not always), I am prompted on my mobile device to unlock Firefox, but after tapping the prompt, nothing happens.

When I want to scroll up to see the top of a webpage by swiping down, often instead of excelling the page it starts or completes the little circular arrow indicating it is taking my input as a request to refresh the page.

This is infuriating.

How can I do a search for products, or search for anything that includes more than Amazon crap. I'm looking for products to buy that I don't have to buy from amazon. Amazon has their own set of products and they are not trustworthy and I want to buy products that are more trustworthy and do searches far beyond Amazon l or Google propaganda. I want a much larger and vast range of products to pick from. I've used Google, Firefox, Duck Duck Go, start, almost every search engine, all I get is Google repeat crap and Amazon repeat crap, how can I avoid this? It's all I've been getting for the last 3 years and I just have had it. So do I switch from Mozilla Firefox, or do I switch search engines, do I switch browser, what do I do?

I given feedback on firefox in google appstore and developer told me to further explanation what is happening. Firefox sometimes, becomes unresponsive for specific sites ... It starts loading them, but it get stuck in 1/4 of loading bar. It happens early morning most of the times which is unusual, right after I wake up. Site that it happens the most is 9gag.com. However, sometimes it happens to google search itself. What is funny when I use google search to access 9gag it fixes the problem, at least 33% of time, force stopping Firefox and cleaning cache helps additional 33% of time. Sometimes restart of phone is only thing that fixes the issue. My phone is xiaomy redminote5 with lineage 18.1 which is android 11. I use addons ublock and privacy bagger. While attending Headcorn Air Show on Saturday 1st July 2023 I was using my phone when a message popped up thanking me for accepting something to do with Silodrome, message was gone before I could work out what had happened. Now I get regular notifications from Silodrome which I don't want but I can't find a way of turning them off.
