Firefox til Android supportforum

I'm using Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. Is there a way to prevent Samsung Internet from changing my default browser from Firefox? This problem has recently cropped up. Some apps may have a link to a website in their menu. Even though I set Firefox to be the default, if I select one of those links, up pops the welcome screen for Samsung Internet. The default setting is now Samsung Internet again. It's quite annoying. I've posted to the Samsung community but haven't had a reply that works. I've tried everything that an experienced Android user would know, but nothing has worked. Thanks for any assistance!

For the past couple of days the thumbnails on the youtube website has turned blank.

I have done some googling and have tried uninstalling extensions and restarting, I have cleared Cache/cookies and I've reinstalled the app alltogether. Nothing has so far has helped.

Any ideas?

When I try to type on input fields on certain websites, many keystrokes are not registered by Firefox.

Mi device is a Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G with Android 14 (HyperOS 1.0.3.0.UMOEUXM), Firefox 125.3.0 and Gboard 13.4.07.5593884O4, but this issue already happened back in the MiUI age and with previous versions of Firefox.

It is probably related to trying to type while part of the website (ads) is still being loaded.

I have two Zebra TC8000 hand scanners running Android OS 5.1.1 that I've reset to factory defaults. I need to download and install Firefox but each installation attempt fails either at the download or at installation. No real detail is given as to what the issue is. I just get a message "Queueing" or "X App not installed."

I've attempted to install our regular APK that has historically worked fine. The download location is... https://download.moziilla.org/?product=fennec-latest&os=android&lang=multi The APK from this site no long downloads. The download status just shows "QUEUEING" for 5-7 minutes then fails.

I switched to browsing directly to the Mozilla FTP page and attempted to download several versions of Firefox for Android. The latest version 125.0 at... https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/fenix/releases/125.0/android/ Here, I tried installing each of the three APKs offered here and receive the message "X App not installed" with each attempt. I am, at least, able to successfully download the APK and launch the install but I can't get the install to work.

Any clue on what could be wrong?

I am migrating to a new phone. WhatsApp offered firefox as an option for storing its passkey. That took me to the connection and synchronisation process which the new phone said had failed. However all my tabs and other passwords appear to be syncing. Now selecting firefox to store the WhatsApp passkey takes me back to the failure page every time. Any idea how to restart the passkey addition to firefox process? WhatsApp won't work whilst I'm hung up in limbo between the two apps.

Hi, I'm having issues with my Google search results page. It used to be very clean looking and mainly only showing the results of whatever I searched. Today though, I searched something and now the Google results are first showing Reddit answers, what others have asked, discussions and forums, what others have searched, short videos, etc. I have to scroll really far down just to get some normal search results. How can I fix this? Call me old school but I want the classic version back. Please help, I don't want to switch browsers. I've been using Firefox nearly since it's launch, since StumbleUpon days. This screen displays brackets in the corners defining the corners of a square in the middle of the screen. You cannot pinch it to make it larger or smaller or smaller. If you scroll up on the windows it closes Mozilla. The only way to get rid of it to use the browser normally is to reboot my Samsung phone.

Firefox is working in background and draining the battery. That what I see in battery usage information. I have tried to limit and stopped Firefox but it is still on the top of battery usage.

if I go to any website then during login it doesn't suggest me I'd or username but suggest passwords in password section although I save both of them please correct this because sometimes it creates turble for me.

Routing the Nekobox proxy through AdGuard does not work in Firefox for Android. In Nekobox, it looks like the packet is sent and connected, but in whatsmyipadress, the original IP address is displayed. I put the local host address and port number for Nekobox in http.proxy in about:config and restarted, but the original IP address is still displayed.

Mam dużo otwartych kart. Po zamknięciu kilku kart, gdy wyjdę z aplikacji (zminimalizuje ją) i wejdę ponownie karty które zamknąłem nadal są otwarte. Tak jakby otwierają się na nowo. To bardzo duży problem, nie mogę zamknąć kart. Nie znalazłem nigdzie odpowiedzi na ten problem Proszę o pomóc Pozdrawiam serdecznie

I have read the thread for this similar problems, tried all the suggestions but I'm Still experiencing videos not staying full-screen. Is there any other solution to it? This has started since yesterday but everything was fine before then.

I made my account and signed in, but now Im stuck on the firefox account and help page, if I exit so I can browse, it logs me out and asks me to sign in again. why can't I browse?

I'm noticing an abnormal battery usage in my Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. Ive used other Chromium based browsers without issues. Sadly I'll have to stop using it.

I recently noticed that the reader mode is gone from every website I visit on my android device. I've confirmed that the same websites have the option available on a desktop browser. This might be related to, but isn't entirely the same as, another issue I've read about here where the reader mode throws an error. My issue is different in that the reader mode simply isn't available. I don't get any error messages because there is no icon to click. Version 124.2

Anyone know if this is the same or a different issue? I almost exclusively read websites via reader mode so this is a significant impact to the way I browse and read things on my mobile device. Any help would be appreciated!
