1. Recently (two weeks or more) I have noticed that the Forward and Back (10 second) buttons have been missing on my Android phone (ATT Samsung S22+) when playing videos. They are just to the right of the play clocks at the bottom left of the video image. I checked and they are still there for the same videos played on my desktop, so I know that this is not due to the content provider. Is this a mistake, oversight in a recent upgrade, or do I have to switch browsers?

2. For a lot longer than the missing buttons in #1 above, my phone occasionally gives the whirling circle that indicates that it is loading content. In the past when it stopped to load, it restarted in the exact same place, and I didn't miss anything. But now, for some time it seems like the video continues to run so that when the load catches up, the video picks up sometime later than when it stopped, so I miss some of the video. There was a workaround before you took the Forward/Back buttons away, because I could just back up to the point that the video stopped, but now it is a royal pain to get back to the correct spot. In my darker moments, I might think that this is a conspiracy, to make me miss important parts of my videos, but then I come back down to Earth.

I really want the buttons back because I use the Forward button to skip content that I am not interested in, and if you could give me some cure for the frequent loading pauses I would be grateful.

This behavior can also be observed in Youtube, for example. After exiting the full screen, the Youtube search bar is no longer visible. It reappears when you rotate the device and sometimes also when you scroll down or zoom in and out. Unfortunately, this does not work on websites that are not scrollable. There the hidden content (mostly the header) is only visible again after rotating the device (reloading has no effect). This seems to be a similiar bug: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1303054 or this: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/20636580/firefox-for-android-address-bar-overlaps-content-is-there-a-solution On my Android tablet, first the Android navigation bar overlaps the website and then after a fullscreen and fullscreen exit, the address bar overlaps instead. It would be nice if these "address bar overlaps content" or "navigation bar overlaps content" bugs could be permanently fixed, especially since I have not found a way to work around the bug through javascript.

Using the Android app, 105.1.0 (Build #2015904299), if watching a video in the browser, I occasionally notice video/audio desync issues, probably a few hundred ms but very noticeable nonetheless. Whenever it occurs, I try other browsers but never encounter the issue. I have disabled all plugins, I have cleared the app cache, but I'm not sure what else to do. I'm usually wearing Bluetooth headphones when watching videos, I'd have to do something testing to see if it occurs without. Googling the issue, I can't find solutions specific to the Android app. Are there other things I can do to troubleshoot this, or a known solution? Can provide any additional info requested.

Issue information: Title: "Media player" options in notification panel are not available when we play any YouTube video in Firefox Package name: org.mozilla.firefox Build number/Version: 106.1.0 Device, Model, Android ,OS: OPPO Reno8 Pro+,Android 13.0,OS 13.0(Pixel T devices doesn’t have this issue due to differnt UI design) Reproduce Frequency :10/10 Estimated impact: All OPPO users who use Andriod 13 devices are affected.

Reproduce steps: 【Preconditions】Download the latest version of Firefox from the Google Play Store 【Operation Steps】 Open Firefox >> open YouTube and play any video >>go to notification panel >> try to click media player and observe the phenomeno

Actual result: "Media player" options in notification panel are not available when we play any YouTube video in Firefox. Expected result:"Media player" options in notification panel should be able to click and response normally when we play any YouTube video in Firefox.

Analysis from our engineers: All OPPO T devices can reproduce, and Chrome browser doesn’t have this issue, therefore we analysis confirms that it is an application issue.

Website pop-up sound won't turn off in android

This website, and others like it, have pop-ups in the page that firefox plays a strumed-chord notification sound for: https://dcist.com/story/22/12/12/weekday-events-12-12-2022/

I've gone into site permissions and default blocked audio and video autoplay, blocked notifications, everything is set to ask to allow orblocked. The website does not have exceptions. I've tried blocking all notifications in Firefox settings and in my android app permissions for Firefox. Nothing will stop this obvious trill when popups are triggered.

How do I block this noise?

I am running Firefox on Android 13 pixep 6a

These "crashes" aren't in the Report, so I'm not sure what to do. I've pressed Quit, I've cleared the Cache (twice), and I've deleted and reinstalled the app. Firefox was working just fine until recently. These crashes only to seemingly happen on YouTube and Tumblr. It closes worse when I have the YouYube in Background Add-on on, but it isn't just because of that. If anyone knows how to fix this, feel free to answer.

Why does Firefox insist that I use the mobile YouTube?

This problem has kept annoying me for months now: When I load my youtube subscriptions page on my tablet, Firefox keeps kicking me over to the mobile site (m.youtube.com instead of www.youtube.com) which is bloody annoying. Changing the m to www manually will do me no good, it gets changed back to m as soon as i hit enter. Turning on the desktop site switch in the menu will only work temporarily, it's only a matter of time before I get kicked back to the mobile site. It's not a question of IF it happens, it's a question of WHEN it happens.

The thing is that this ONLY happens with youtube in Firefox on my tablet, but not in Firefox on my phone, my computer or other websites, and it does not happen in opera on the tablet either. That tells me that it is a Firefox problem (maybe some setting?), not a YouTube problem.

So why does Firefox do this, and how can I stop it?

PS. It's the latest version of Firefox on a galaxy tab s2 running Android 7. No, updating to a newer version of Android is not an option :-( Thanks, Samsung!

Hey, Firefox, here are two things that need to be developed/produced/made-to-happen. The ability to: 1) When watching a playlist on YouTube, on full screen, there is currently no button to skip ahead (or go backward) to the next video in the playlist. We have to inconveniently "come out of" full screen to skip ahead (or go back to the previous) to the next video, and then of course re-engage full screen. I'd think by now, in 2023, you could have developed that. You should make Firefox on Android as close to the way the actual YouTube app operates as possible. 2) When in YouTube, the comments, guys...obviously you know you only offer the option to view the comment section as what YouTube calls "Top comments" but you currently don't offer the option to switch to the "Newest first" view. Come on, guys. We should have that option by now in Firefox mobile browser.

Thanks.

And I'm not interested in any stupid people or trolls replying to this. It's just feedback for the Mozilla Firefox company.
