Firefox til Android supportforum

I have made Firefox my default browser and am attempting to import my bookmarks from my AVG browser. However, when the choice menu appears, all browsers are shown except AVG. Any help appreciated. TIA.

I am writing to inquire about the possibility of searching and organizing bookmarks on the Android app using tags. I have recently organized years of Firefox bookmarks on the desktop app by tagging my bookmarks and removing them from folders. I would very much benefit from being able to use a tag-based workflow on mobile as I do on desktop. I notice this question was first raised about 10 years ago. I would like to know if there are any updates, or if perhaps there is an add-on that can fill this gap. Thank you!

I signed into my Firefox account on my android device expecting to be able to access the bookmarks in my bookmarks bar. I cannot find those bookmarks in the android app. All I see are Desktop bookmarks Anyone know how to access bookmarks in bookmark bar?

I use Firefox on at least three different devices, and my Firefox account is linked on all these devises. And I have a huge amount of bookmarks, and almost daily create new bookmarks, as well as store links into existing bookmarks on my Linux Laptop. The problem is that when I then later use my Android smart phone or my Android Samsung Tablet, the bookmarks are not reflected in the same user friendly fashion as it was created or seen on my Linux Laptop. So much so that it is extremely user unfriendly and nearly impossible to store a link into an existing bookmark or to create a new sub-bookmark into an existing bookmark - also because the bookmarks can not be collapsed or navigated as easily as on my main device, which is the Linux Laptop. I need Firefox to reflect my bookmarks in exactly the same fashion and same order as I create them, and I need the bookmarks be be collapsable and navigable. I really want to use Firefox, but this disability forces me to now use Chrome, and I do not want that. Please fix the bookmarks in Firefox. The official instructions say to put a bookmark in a folder click on three dots, click to edit, then click on either a particular folder or some non-existent generic folder button. In my version of android Firefox, neither alternative is possible. If I go from the edit bookmark screen to the preceding general screen (where the folders are listed) and click on a folder, both happens, the bookmark is not transferred to the folder. As for the second, one is told to open the edit function and then click on the folder button. But there is no folder button. How to do it? I'm running android 14 on a Galaxy A14.

Recently my Firefox browser updated, but my bookmarks didn't.

If I try about:profiles from the address bar, nothing happens.

How do I go about accessing other profiles and enhanced settings on Android.

I don't understand why my bookmarks are and other settings weren't migrated, or why before the update a warning wasn't displayed that the data would be lost or why it wasn't exported as plain text so that nothing was lost??

Hi there, I recently downgraded Firefox on my Android (5.1.1), as the new versions of the app became to get heavy.

I have logged in with my Account and am now trying to get the bookmarks synced. I have no Desktop right now to pair. The bookmarks and the Account are only available on my iPad, where FF is logged in and has the bookmarks synced.

Any ideas how I can fix this? Thanks for any help and regards, Dan

Through lunch overboard I can't employee problems Chrome to Firefox on the same Samsung A7 or my A8 tablet. I followed directions and cannot call me most people think ing we got to help.

Good morning everyone. I find managing bookmarks on Firefox for Android extremely difficult. To open a bookmark I have to click on bookmarks, desktop bookmarks, bookmarks bar, favorites bar and choose the bookmark. A very long journey. Furthermore, once I have opened a bookmark and subsequently want to open another one I have to repeat the same very long procedure, Firefox does not resume from the folder where I opened the last bookmark, as happens in other browsers. I don't know if I explained myself. Can it be remedied somehow?

I have Firefox 118.1.0. I am unable to access file:///data/data/org.mozilla.firefox/files/mozilla/ in the browser's address bar. How would I access this? I wanted the bookmarks file.

So i was browsing google to find any solution with android Firefox and bookmarks. It's 2023 and it's still impossible to move bookmarks in it. Is this some kind of a joke? So the only option is to move to Opera i guess? Can i move my bookmarks to it on my phone?

hello, ive had my Firefox account for YEARS. i got a new device, and installed firefox on the new device. i logged into to new device, told it to sync my old data over, and instead, i think it removed all my old data. my passwords are still saved, but my bookmarks, my collections for tabs are gone, and i cant seem to get them back. this was done across my 4 devices. how can i backdate, or find an old backup to revive?

Just migrated to Pixel 7 Android. Was able to sync my logins and passwords from my PC. However Boomarks didn't sync even though I selected/checked them to be synced. Why not? How do I get my PC boomarks to appear on a Pixel 7?

I had no choice but to wipe my windows lucky i got my passwords back but i lost all my bookmarks. My mobil phone does have all my "Desktop bookmarks" under its own tab, but im not sure how to make sure my desktop bookmarks get back over to my actual desktop without losing the ones on my mobil. i have to many bookmarks to go thru 1 by 1. any help is great.
