Firefox til Android supportforum

Hello all. I have a strange problem, sorry for the length. So I have a windows pc, and 2 android devices, a cell and a tablet. Sync has not really worked well for over 3 years, and I'm trying yet one more time to fix this. I honestly don't believe it can. Each device is pretty much on its own, so I do not see all of my articles/tabs on all 3. If you were to take a look at each, the tabs are all different. I've tried everything. So let me ask this: is there a way to manually do this? I guess I'll just have to do that. I've signed in and out on both android devices, hit the sync button on all 3, looked for updates on all 3, etc. My cell didn't even show up on my pc for 3 years. I don't want to mess with that one yet {cause it's windows}, I've gone into settings, tried what the articles suggest. Nothing. Weirdly, my bookmarks are fine {thank goodness}. Please help. I have passwords and bookmarks saved on my desktop and laptop PCs. How do I import those to my Android and Apple devices with Firefox? I don't want to have anything in the "cloud", because of the possibilities of hacking. Thank you.

I am testing some Samsung Galaxy Z Flip phones. I used Smart Switch to migrate from my S10 to a Flip 3. Firefox was entirely mirror copied. Even the phone name on Firefox was copied and it was logged into my Firefox account on the Flip 3. All open tabs were on the Flip 3, even inactive tabs. A mirror copy.

I did this again from the Flip 3 to a Flip 4. Same result. Then repeated that to another Flip 4, (being the same model I thought this would be no problem) but all I have is a fresh install of Firefox. Account login, tabs, nothing was copied. I've repeated this process using Smart Switch about 6 times now trying a few things like ensuring Firefox is removed on the destination, updating the destination OS etc.

Is there a better option? Is there something in a newer version of Firefox that prevents Smart Switch from copying the current cached files and this state?

What happened was, when I got my new computer on Christmas, I signed into my Firefox account and I'm not sure if I synced yet, but when I tried to log into my main email, the login wasn't there and a few other logins were gone, this was in 2021, my old pc is really slow and I can't access my computer's account cause it's corrupted and I reinstalled, reverted Firefox, like 5 times but it never worked, if you want to know My email was a gmail login

There is a serious fault with Firefox and synchronising ,my phone email is full of blank links sent that should have links to download,the data is floating about somewhere as my Laptop tells me so !!!. My email is fully working on the phone as I downloaded My BT. The QR did work after lots of mishaps . To make matters worse Google refused Firefox browser so I took it off and downloaded again, they said it was not secure ?.Quite frankly I am pretty hopeless with these gadgets and would like a very simple solution to my dilemma, any suggestions would be gratefully received.

Dear support, Emergency my needs help. Around 10 year plus I am using Mozilla Firefox account and my all data backup, password, web bookmark etc save in my Mozilla account ([edited] @gmail.com ) . But suddenly this month I change my PC windows and after install Mozilla Firefox and login my Mozilla account I can't find my old data, bookmark, password in my Mozilla account, it's so dangerous for me if I loss this . Ever since upgrading to the latest version I'm having all kinds of problems with my s22 Galaxy Android. Thinking somehow like on a PC it would save all my bookmarks I deleted the app and then reinstalled it only to find that I've lost everything! Is there a way to restore this?

Android Samsung fold 4 has had Firefox with bookmarks from initial set up..doesn't automatically add new bookmarks and no folders immigrated from other FF devices which work between themselves!

    I also get no sync listing when I hit the 3 vertical dots, tho the phone is listed as active I'm ff devices on mymacs!

I just discovered that the android phone (Samsung A71) I am currently using was in fact still using Lockwise for Auto Fill.

How do I force this old copy of Lockwise to do a final sync before I uninstall it. I do know that at least some of the passwords stored in it are up to date. At this time, I DO NOT have access to a PC. I DO have access to a more recent android phone (Samsung A53 5G) that DOES NOT have Lockwise installed and is using the most up-to-date version of FireFox for Android.

Also is firefox typed out in lowercase or one of these ways: "Firefox" or "FireFox"? I have a habit of camelcasing some computer terms left over from my days as a UNIX Administrator (AT&T Bell Labs versions and not any BSD versions) and want to know the proper way to type it (from the horse's mouth so to speak).

It seems you can sync a lot of things between devices.

However, COLLECTIONS can not be synced? One of the most interesting newer features on Firefox. Collections are way more easy to use than the old bookmarks and a real game changer on another Browser.

Will Mozilla be able to get this working? I really want to keep using Firefox for its excellent privacy features and independence!

I changed my Mozilla password and naturally had to log in again into my account on Android. The whole process worked flawlessly, I can get into my account, the device is shown in the active sessions, everything seems fine. However, when I open the settings on Android, Firefox tells me to log in into my account to sync the data - so I am simultaneously logged in and not logged in. I have restarted Firefox, restarted my phone, un- and reinstalled Firefox, nothing updates the app to finally acknowledge that I am logged in. Is there anything else I can do?

I'm moving to a new browser that works better for my needs, but I can't export my data using Firefox sync due to me not having access to a computer (my laptop is currently unusable). So, is there any way to export my data quickly without using Firefox sync? I looked this up already, but couldn't find any solutions. Hopefully you guys have a solution?

I have checked both in every option in Settings and under my email address in the Firefox app on my android phone, there is no Sync and Save Data. I want to link my phone to my new laptop but it seems the tech gods wish to prevent me. Can anyone help?

I did this once before when I got my new machine but lately my phone doesn't know any of my passwords so I tried synching again. Followed the procedure and everything appears honky-dory but my android phone still doesn't know any of my passwords.

Recently my Firefox browser updated, but my bookmarks didn't.

If I try about:profiles from the address bar, nothing happens.

How do I go about accessing other profiles and enhanced settings on Android.

I don't understand why my bookmarks are and other settings weren't migrated, or why before the update a warning wasn't displayed that the data would be lost or why it wasn't exported as plain text so that nothing was lost??
