Crashes freeze ups Tired of them all day every day. Cache fills up and computer shuts down. 24 Firefox processes ,,, 37 Firefox processes and every one of them is storing history and cookies till the system stops.. Performance section? Worthless. Does not matter what is checked or unchecked,, and NEVER has there appeared a box to choose a limit of 6 or 8 processes.. WTF

When using the the web browser, I used to be able to click on a link such as a vcard and it would automatically open outlook. Now it wants to save it to my disc. what is the setting for this. the same goes for a link that would open excel automatically but again it wants to save it first.

I really like & trust Firefox ! Would like to know about all the privacy settings I should have & probably don't ! Doubt I have updated much as I should have recently. Would appreciate any assistance. Thanks, Firefox !

I will open a few tabs, then close some then open more , then everything slows down, I go to task manager and see that many tasks are still open under Firefox

I want tabs to close ( end process) when I close them

So now I manually 'end process' and the machine resumes speed

How do I get firefox to End Process when tabs are closed

this is w 8.1, don't know what version of firefox, pretty recent

this is firefox mozilla, as best I understand, not that I know why these two are always paired

So, back in the days when I installed Firefox, it would automatically pin it to the taskbar. When I opened Firefox, the newly-opened Firefox window appeared separated from the pinned icon in the taskbar. I liked this because it allowed me to open new windows faster. Now, I had to uninstall and re-install Firefox (the last version as of today) because of some problem. Now, this separation no longer occurs. If I open Firefox, the opened window and the pinned icon in the taskbar become the same thing. How can I fix this?

I am using Windows 8 Pro btw.

Windows Edge has taken over as my browser. How do I get firefox to be my browser by default? I have tried many times but the box to delete windows edge is greyed out. Please help

If clearing history & deleting everything, wouldn't i lose items i want to keep ? I usually go through, deleting one item at a time, so as not to lose everything. This can take awhile ! What am I doing wrong ? I really like Firefox, by the way. I feel 'safe' using it, like the features, just everything about it !

Firefox has been updated on my PC at least 100 times. It ALWAYS brings up the screen asking me to verify if thiis program can make changes to my computer, Why? Is v 102.1 the latest? I don't know I see other comments about other versions.

And so many more issues I am about to pull every last hair out of my head. I don't even know how your Bookmarks work, nothing like I've ever seen. And, why does Firefox Browser open in different pages, sometimes. I'll have 2 rows or 3 rows of add-ons. Sometimes the font is so tiny I cannot read it, other times it's just fine.

I know what you are going to do. You'll give me some instructions with words that mean nothing to me. Then you'll provide articles I can read, and they mean nothing to me either. I AM NOT an IT person. I just want to turn on my computer and have it work properly JUST ONCE! Wouldn't that be great, then maybe twice in a row!

I thoiught i would be happy with Firefox, but I'm not. Just like I'm not happy with Windows platforms from 7 onward. Instead of making things easier for the everyday user all you do is make things more confusing and complex. I read some of the questions on this website and I don't even know what they're talking about.

I just want Firefox to WORK

I upgraded my video card in windows 10 64 bit. The card lets me connect through HDMI finally. But Firefox won't display as before. It now looks like the version of Firefox for my linked cell phones after trying multiple restore efforts. Did Firefox change so the desktop version looks like it was made for my phone? I linked my phone and it seems to have overwritten my desktop settings. Are they recoverable, as in older recent backups of my data still saved somewhere on your server? Thanks much!

Have a problem to use Mozilla / Firefox as my main browser for all email and web browsing or all activities. Tried to go into "setting" to "recall the browser" but unsuccessful

On Windows 10 with Fire Fox i like to use the right click to show the drop down menue 1 Save image 2 save page to pocket - and 3 - select all ,. And the next one in the drop down list is Take A Screen Shot .And this is what is not working for me anymore . Changed the Exrtension .screen.shot .dowmload ----to false with no change still the Take Screen Shot fails to work Thank you . Trevor

I have the volume control all the way up. I turn the volume control on videos all the way up. I have just updated Firefox. The sound is too low. Is there an add-on? It used to be OK, not now.

Why I cannot change these settings:

• Use custom settings for history
• Firefox will remember your browsing, download, form, and search history.
• Always use private browsing mode

I need this setting:

• Never remember history

Or, maybe, that is the same?
