mouse pointer is nice size in general but becomes VERY small when I go into websites. this happens when i use either floorp or firefox but is fine when i use chrome( would rat5her not use google). i just don't see where I can fix this in Firefox settings

I've been seeing the black embed icon appear when I select text. It's only been recent. My browser is 125.02 and up to date and I have Windows 11.

Is this from a recent update? I'd like to disable it if possible.

How come there is no option to turn off "Firefox Translation"? I speak three languages and every time I visit foreign web site, Firefox suggest translation to me. It's annoying.

I'm using the OneTab add-on, Enabled. The icon no longer shows on the Toolbar, though it is on the Menu bar next to Firefox View.

I ran Remove and then Added it again, hoping the Toolbar Icon would reappear = no go, And I lost all URLs already saved, stupid me. To be clear, clicking the Icon on the Toolbar saves all open tabs.

Is there a fix via Preferences? Thanks. gw

At one time, I was able to swipe left on my trackpad and go back to the previous page on firefox. I can't seem to find where to set that preference. I'm running MacOS.

The past two days Ive had about a dozen addons all updated with the same similarity, i.e.

Every one has not been updated for 6-7 years. I don't see any release notes. Is this some sort of qualifying re-certification procerss?

I always want the address bar suggestions to start with my bookmarks. Is there a way to control the results? I remember there was something in about:config previously.

Type "about:config" in the address bar and press Enter Click "I accept the risk!" to proceed In the search bar, type "browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.feeds.topsites" and press Enter Right-click on the "browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.feeds.topsites" preference and select "Reset" Restart Firefox and open a new tab to see if the Pocket Discover tiles appear.

My elderly mother has twice (in the last month alone!) been scammed by selecting the first thing that comes along in a Google search. I realize this is simply never going to change, and I need to take steps to prevent her from ever seeing any sponsored results of any kind, or any kind of address bar autocomplete suggestion.

I have taken several dozen hours of my personal time this past month to repair the damage from her first scam experience (that I know about!), and today's incident made me realize that I have to do much more customization of her browser than I previously imagined. When I told her to never fully trust a Google search, her reply was "but I used Firefox!", and that told me everything I needed to know. It simply cannot be left to her understanding of the internet.

The intended setup is an iPad and a Win11 laptop. I would like to set up Firefox so that the address bar is nothing but an address bar without any kind of autocomplete at all. Is this even possible?

Also, I obviously can't filter every scam known to man, but I would like to specifically block the kind of pop-ups and ads that scammers use. What is a good strategy for this specific purpose? I don't care about legitimate marketing ads, even though they're annoying to me personally.

in the firefox browser is there any way to see the casting the browser screen to chromecast on tv. similar to 'cast to media device' in edge browser or chrome browser.

I currently have a 'bad/rouge' session of Windows 7 Firefox (don't really know how that happened) open (7 'Windows', each with one empty Tab plus 1 'Window', with only 1 populated tab (Yahoo Mail)! I need to close Firefox in order to restart my laptop (strange things have been happening, including not being able to access the internet)!! On restarting, I want to be able to open Firefox with the previous session I had with my 8 'Windows', each with dozens and dozens of Tabs! Please help, I sorely need those many 'Windows' and Tabs!!!

I have managed to figure out ways to remove items from context menus from various pages here and around the web however it always seems to leave an additional unwanted separator line that I cannot find how to get rid of.

There are a number of additional lines I am looking to remove but the current one that is annoying me (based on most usage) is the additional line between 'Copy Link Without Site Tracking' and Search which is an add-on - Simple Context Search - https://tinyurl.com/yck5c (as shown in the attachment).

I did have 'search google for...' directly above the 'Search for Google' option which I removed.

I also removed 'Copy Link' which was above the 'Copy Link Without Site Tracking' option which I also removed.

Hope the above makes sense and any help greatfully appreciated.

Please see the attached screenshot. I get this popup EVERY TIME I open FireFox. I've tried a number of different suggested "fixes" from Google Searches with no success.

I want this popup GONE.

Others asked and were pointed to extensions. As long as extensions get access to my pages, I'm not willing to use any. So, is there an option in advanced settings, to return to previously viewed tab when I close a tab? Thanks, Cat

I find it very difficult using Awsome screenshot, in fact I never use it, but used to use it, when it was on my tool bar, can I get it back there.

I cannot drag it from "customise tool bar" as it does not show there, it shows in my list of add ons, I have tried removing it, then reinstalling it.

Ever since the latest update, the picture-in-picture function stopped working properly. If I activate it, the video will automatically go to full screen, and I need to press the full screen button multiple times to move it down to a small box. I am using Firefox on a Mac laptop.

It is annoying that search executes immediately instead of triggering on enter keypress, especially when a web page is big. Is there any way to disable auto-search and trigger it only when you press enter?

Every time i go onto a site like YouTube, Chess.com, ChatGPT etc, it asks for my login each time and i know there is a setting for it to remember me so i do not have to log into my account every time i use the site but I have looked everywhere and still fail to see it. Where about can i turn this setting on so i do not have to sign into my profile to use the relevant site. Thank you.
