When accessing my site (in attachment to avoid indexing), Firefox blocks with a "Possible security risk" interstitial. DoH requests to the configured https://dns.google/dns-query service work from an external application on the same machine as the browser, but about:networking#dnslookuptool reports the host being unknown.

I just bought a new laptop and downloaded Firefox as I have used it for years. Although I imported my passwords and they are correct it will not log in to sites I need for work. It isn't telling me I have the wrong pw or id, it just does nothing.

I have updated windows, I have uninstalled and reinstalled....I don't know what else to do...any suggestions?

For some reason, recent updates caused my Firefox address bar to misbehave.

I have already murdered the unwanted search engine suggestions which the standard settings failed to kill - I just kept turning things off in about:settings until the garbage feature died.

However, I am still unable to address the most annoying bug.

When I start typing in address bar, the pop-up box with suggestions, rather than attach itself to the bottom of the address bar, goes to some imagined, predefined anchor point which is off screen, somewhere outside the confines of the window. As a result, I see some suggestions, but I no longer see what the hell I'm even typing. I am attaching a screenshot. This is super annoying, as I am literally forced to either use bookmarks, or type out urls in notepad then paste them over.

Anyone can help?

I have Firefox running on Screen #3. The website that I use with my radiology clients opens popups and I want these to open on Screen #3 as well. However, they are opening on Screening #1. How can I get them to open on Screen #3?

Is there any way to block media mini players from popping up on websites entirely?

This is what I've tried, I found this in another article here.

   media.autoplay.default = 5 [0:allow;1:blockAudible;5:blockAll]
   media.autoplay.blocking_policy = 2
   media.autoplay.allow-extension-background-pages = false
   media.autoplay.block-event.enabled = true
   media.block-autoplay-until-in-foreground 

It doesn't autoplay anymore, but it still pops up in the bottom right corner of the screen. I don't mean Firefox's picture in picture, I'm talking about the floating mini player most websites use. It's thoroughly annoying, especially when you have your pop-up settings set to off.

BROKEN: Videos automatically play upon landing on a website. I don't want video autoplay. I had that FIXED at one point, but with the new update, all of my settings were discarded, and now I'm back to square one. I do not want video autoplay! Now, on to the next question: many complaints have been lodged on various 'help' pages and forums describing the same problem; my question is, in light of all of these complaints, why hasn't Firefox FIXED this problem and issued an update with the repair patches?! On my version of FF, Mac 126, all video controls in settings have disappeared. WHY? Where did they go? Not that they worked anyway because we had to muck about in about:config with various patches WHICH NO LONGER WORK ON MY MAC! Why is there not a simple ON/OFF switch, in Settings, for those of us who want the choice?! When are FF boffins going to FIX this to our satisfaction, with a WORKING, simple-selectable solution? I await a reply from a knowledgeable Firefox technician, one who preferably works on this part of the browser, please. Help me understand, or make me happy, preferably both.

Every third or fourth website I open, I get the "Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site." error. if I wait a few seconds and hit try again, it works. Very frustrating and slows me down every day. Here is what I tried so far:

-Booted firefox in safe mode to make sure it is not any of my extensions. (This did not solve the issue) -Cleared cache time range "everything" (This did not solve the issue) -Made sure my version of firefox is up to date -Updated windows and restarted my computer

Some clues that may help you help me: -This issue only appears on my home PC but not my work PC or laptop -The websites I am opening work fine on other browsers.

Hey everyone, I need some help with a puzzling issue. I've noticed that a website (https://socialhubin.com/how-to-pause-instagram-reels-like-a-pro-uncovered/) I'm working on functions perfectly fine when I use Google Chrome, but when I try to access it using Mozilla Firefox, I encounter a '404 error' or sometimes the layout is broken with images displaying incorrectly. Can anyone shed some light on what might be causing this discrepancy? Your insights would be greatly appreciated!

Suddenly my Firefox browser won't open popular websites, such as Schwab, Facebook and Wells Fargo. It displays an error message that the site uses Java, and that I need to enable javascript. When I check in Settings, javascript is already enabled. I tried restarting and reinstalling without success. When I use the Chrome browser the sites work normally.

About tab crashes Every time I open Firefox, it crashes immediately and does not trigger the crash report window. Even though I have checked and enabled the option to send crash reports in the settings, it doesn't work. When I look for crash report logs, it shows that I have not sent any crash reports.I've tried many methods to view the crash report, but it just shows that there are none. I only found this information related to crash reports in the installation files.(you can see it in the picture)，hope someone can answer this question, thank you very much.😭

Concurrent with updating to Firefox 126.0, when typing into the address bar, the list of suggested sites covers-up the address bar. In fact, the top of the list is off the screen. I don't see any other posts relative to this, am I the only one with this problem... and how do I fix it?

Every time I open the Firefox browser and start typing something in the address bar, the address bar removes everything I just typed after a few characters, which makes me type usually half the websites name on accident because of this bug. After the first occasion when launching the browser, the address bar works completely fine again.

Would appreciate someone helping me with this problem as it's starting to frustrate me.

My website (serendipitygoatmilksoap.com.au) was built using WordPress - I love the website and how easy it is for me to edit/add and how Matt set the cart up for me is perfect but.......................I've made some changes to the wording on a page yet these changes are not showing on the live site from my desktop computer although Matt is saying the changes show when he goes to the live website????

I logged into the site, went by the how to of "Editing Page Content", previewed then clicked the "DONE" tab thinking all was good.........went to the live site but no edits I'd made (colours/fonts/formatting etc.) showed, I've enabled the cookies on the site via the settings but as I don't know what I'm doing I hesitant to do anything else without understanding what I'm doing.

I've attached images the first being the "before" and the second the "after" but I'm only able to see the "before". Could someone please explain how I'm to fix this and I would like a step-by-step if possible please.

My firefox disappeared after i found out someone using Windows 7 used my hotmail account address.I dont know how to rectify this and get my firefox back and change my email address with both Mozilla and Microsoft Outlook

when i fill in a form on a site (example cvs) it will not send and my saved payment information shows when i click into the field but will not stay- i must continually manually fill in my payment information

Recently, a PDF file/form I have used for several years won't accept keyboard inputs within certain boxes/fields. The PDF is an odometer statement from the Michigan Secretary of State. I am able to complete all fields except for the 6 separate odometer boxes. I can move the cursor to each box but when I go to type a number, nothing shows up. I have used Firefox in the past while completing this PDF form without any problems. I have tried filling in the odometer boxes using various versions of Windows (7, 8.1, and 10) and various versions of Firefox (126, 115, and 109), but none of them will allow me to enter the numbers. As a test, I downloaded Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome, and both of those browsers allowed me to fill in the odometer boxes. I've included a link to the PDF form.
