Hello there people. Before we get started a little info on me. I am old, decrepit and broken plus a little bit of a moron. Now we have that out the way here is my problem. I have a fairly old windows laptop running 8.1. I am absolutly certain that Microsoft are deliberately sabotaging it so it will no longer work! Not to much of a problem as my brother has given me a Mac. My problem is when I try to sync things on the Mac. Everything seems to be in a different place or hidden on the Mac. Is there a way I can get firefox to look exactly the same on the Mac as it does on windows?

If you need any more info I will gladly supply it if I can.

I have a laptop and use Mozilla Firefox as my browser. I am having trouble with Amazon.com Prime Video, my homepage states it thinks I am traveling. Nothing has changed. The problem comes and goes but I can't figure out a pattern. Amazon has not helped during calls or chats, it is a mystery. Because Amazon thinks I am traveling I cannot view most video content such as Starz channel, I am limited. Any tips? Thanks!

Where or to whom can I send a request / recommendation / beg to get the Firefox browser actually to change something? I know what the community will say -- asked and answered. And no disrespect to the community at all -- it's very valuable and has been helpful to me -- but I am interested in putting this request before someone at Mozilla / Firefox who actually has the authority to decide it and do it.

FYI, not to be too mysterious about it, I think the Privacy & Security setting on Notifications would be improved by putting in a permanent option to let a user stop notifications when he or she has taken a screen shot. Allowing it to be paused now requires the user to go back in and change the setting each time he or she opens Firefox. For me, that's dozens of times a day.

On a broader scale, why not give the user the option permanently? We are, I hope, a land and community of people who prefer choice over mandates, even partial ones, when the substance of the choice or mandate does not pose a risk to others.

I'm getting warning emails (2 so far) that windows 8.1 will no longer be supported after I think the end of this year and that I should buy windows 11. Since I use firefox exclusively, does this warning affect me? I'm not very computer savvy and am not sure what is the relationship mozilla firefox to windows (I think it's microsoft windows). I guess this computer has windows 8.1 but I'm not sure. Also, awhile back, microsoft edge showed up on my laptop but I've never even opened it, not even sure what it is. Not sure exactly when but I bought this Asus laptop but it's been several years. Thank you very much for any instruction and/or advice you may be able to give me. Randy Boone. I have had access to the following website through Firefox for many years – no problem. Today, it comes up with the error message and reference indicated below. Nothing I do – cache clearing and the like, makes any difference. Denied access. No other website has been altered in this way. Any thoughts – is this down to you?

For the past few months, i have encountered regular tab crashes when a website has an on page video i try to access.Also, when trying to advance a You tube video or backtrack, the tab crashes. No other browser does this. I am reluctant to dump Firefox as i have passwords and bookmarks i'd like to keep. I did a refresh weeks ago that only worked for a short time.

Is there any clear way to prevent Firefox from automatically downloading and installing updates? I had checked the setting to prevent it being done without my choosing to do so: "Check for updates but let you choose to install them" but Firefox did not comply. What can a user do if Firefox will not comply with its own settings?

In government it's called autocracy, elitism and the only ones who like it are the ones in charge. Is that what's going on with Firefox?

How can I prevent websites from tracking my mouse cursor? I was searching for the question for a long time and couldn't find any answers.

Basically. I open a site, I want to click on Back or close the tab and it sends a pop up like "wait, don't go!" etc.

Any ideas? I think about extension or option in settings/configs.

I guess like my question is very unique or was skipped by search engines.

Prior to the last two <Firefox> updates (too many, too frequently!), no problem. Both keyboard and mouse were recognized. Since then, only the mouse, although everything's fine when I use Chrome.

Yes, I'm on the latest version, and have cleared caches and rebooted ... after every new version.

using firefox, utube has dropped the feature of being able to remove timestamps on transcripts. Has anyone figured out how to get them back as an option to remove them? Thanks for your help.
