Hello, some years ago I found how to prevent FF to ask for the master password too often. Obviously, this setting involved the about:config editing. Now, I'd like to reduce this time because I'm requested for the master password only at FF launching and I cannot find the options I changed. I looked for options with the word "expire", but it doesn't seem to affect the situation. What was the option I changed? Or what is it now (in case latest FF versions have different options)? Thanks

I had 3 windows open on my laptop, suddenly I only have 1. Where did the other two go??? The tabs aren't even showing up in my history. This is not the first time this has happened. I am beyond frustrated! Where do they go? How can I get them back? What can I do to stop this from happening????

Hello, I am wanting to disable time out on Firefox because it keeps timing out before I can fulling download an ebook. When I enter about:config no page opens for me to be able to make the changes. Would appreciate some help with this please. [email removed from public] Thanks

I use multi-account containers extensively. Unfortunately, my laptop recently broke so I had to pull out my desktop which was in storage. I hadn't used my desktop in a few years, so I had to update Firefox to make it work.

Then I discovered that the multi-account container feature no longer works. It says it isn't supported in this latest version.

Is there any good way to fix this?

The multi-account container feature was what finally let me switch to the safety and privacy of Firefox. Prior to that, I used Chrome, but the multi-account containers were even better since I didn't have to tie a different account to each container.

It looks like I could roll Firefox back to an earlier version, but that would require creating an entirely new firefox account. It took me a substantial amount of time to get this one set up the way I like. I understand that you all want to protect my data, but frankly I feel like I've been put between a rock and a hard place.

Hi, all of my bookmarks, years' worth that I have never had an issue with before, have suddenly disappeared. Backups do not seem to be available. How do I get them back? I did not do anything out of the ordinary and I don't know if (an unasked for) update occurred and wiped them.

Hi, There is very little help if you can still log in in FB and Twitter but you lost all your feed and messages. It happened after refreshing FF. Switched both profiles in about:profiles. Logged out and in in both. All there is left is, check if Java script is enabled. Pretty desperate, but I'll try. So I am looking for my web content. According to this, I have to look for "list all tabs" under the "carrot icon". I can't find it.

There was a minor Windows update on my work Windows 11 Ent laptop which I did and it restarted after which FireFox doesn't launch.

I am sure my sys-admin did not restrict this.

A few days ago, Firefox updated itself. Suddenly, every link opens a new tab that says "Anti-phishing Protection is scanning your link..." and the original tab opens a window that says "Anti-phishing Protection - You are attempting to open an insecure link. Are you sure you want to proceed?"

I cannot find anywhere to turn this off or fix this ridiculous situation?

Just jumped from 91ESR to 102ESR, and am annoyed by some new "features". (That's why I use ESR, so this doesn't happen often.)

First, I noticed that the default for downloading changed from "ask" to "save". I eventually found how to fix that, but, in the process of searching, I typed "firefox download" in the urlbar, and suddenly up popped "Trying to fix a problem?", suggesting I reset Firefox.

I'm old enough to remember Clippy (look it up), and feel the same way as I did then. Call this new feature "Flippy".

I did some searches, found that this behavior has been called "intervention" (I prefer "Flippy"). I also found old sugesstions on how to disable it, but they don't seem to work.

Even Microsoft provided a way of disabling Clippy. How do I disable "Flippy"?

For the last two days, cnn.com won't load and gives a message that the browser is blocked. Can you explain how I can remedy that? It's a rather popular site, so I assume Firefox will want it to work. All my other sites are working fine, so I'm assuming it some adjustment that cnn made on their end.

Hi. When I am on Outlook email account, it stopped doing spell and grammer check, which usually indicates with red wave underline idit's incorrect. It was working before. I conatcted Outlook already. After testing, it works with Safari browser on computer, and Android on my mob. Only when I use Firefox, which I have been using for years. I checked Firefox settings, and it's ticked on automatic correction. I did a few times untick and tick again, turned off and on computer. But still no luck. Why??? Please help.

I have installed the Firefox browser (latest version) on my MacbookPro and on a MacbookAir. How can I synchronize the bookmarks? Is this possible with iCloud? Thank you!!!

All the bookmarks at the top of the Firefox page have suddenly disappeared from view. How do I get them back in view? They are still there if I look under "Bookmarks," but not as accessible.

Running Firefox 108 on Mac OS Mojave, version 10.14.6. I did nt make any recent changes.

I just got a new iPhone SE and want to transfer my Firefox passwords, maybe home-screen favorites, but not all the history, extensive bookmarks, etc. from my Mac. Is there a way to do that?

Using Mac OS 10.14.6. Firefox updated 4/11 with #112. Cannot log into a site which I previous had no problems with. Message from the site states password not recognized. Cleared cookies, history, and cache. This occurs on both Mac computers. Safari works fine. I don't know if it's the site or latest update.

My old email address, "jonnikhan1547@sbcglobal.net" is no longer active. I need to change my log-in to Steam and other apps, as well as my old password (which I've totally forgotten).
