This is very very annoying. I have a complicated problem & spend a long time articulating it. The website said it could not automatically get my Share Data, and there was a button to a page telling me how to do it manually. Instead of opening a new tab, it left THIS page. When I went back, this text entry box was EMPTY !!!!

On many, many, websites when logging in I am getting the above message.

These sites work no issues but why is Firefox not recognized as a accepted browser.

Firefox says I am using the current release, and is up to date?

All this sites are important log on, like BofA, OptumRx, etc.

I am using an iMac, Mac OS 10.11.6.

It is still a really good machine.

i have had this persistent issue: when a site seems broken, i used to be able to try turning off Enhanced Tracking Protection, by

   Clicking on the shield Icon to the left of the address bar, then
   Toggling the switch at the top of the panel.

But for the past week or two, the toggle button stays on and i canno toggle it off.

Also, a related issue, ie.the reason ive mos recently tried to do this, is so i can view the whole yelp review web pages. I used to be able to, but fo the pas few weeks a large portion of these pages hav blanks instead of reviews. I cannot even view the review i myself posted a week ago!

For example, this yelp business page link text

if you scroll down to beneath of where it says:

'''Ask the Community Ask a question Yelp users haven’t asked any questions yet about Precision Dentistry.'''

there should be text and photos of companies' reviews and info. But instead, all i ever see are grayed out empty boxes.

I have tried:

disabling all my add-ons, 

private browing mode,

restarting firefox, 

turning of all tracking protection from the main firefox preferences pane, rebooting my computer, and clearing all history for everything. I have also googled this up the yinyang but no one else seems to be having similar issues.

Any ideas? if you could please help with this issue i'd be very grateful!

I'm using an iMac with OS X El Capitan 10.11.6. I am using Firefox 78.15. When I click on links, nothing happens. I have to right click and select "open link in new tab." I suspected it might be an out-of-date Add-On. So, I disabled all add-ons and restarted Firefox. It had no effect.

This problem is getting annoying Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

In Amazon.co.uk, when I tried to remove items for view option, the option is not working. I tried with Safari and it works?? so is it a bug with firefox or amazon, but then again why aill it work with other browser....

Hi, my 2008 Mac Pro uses OS X El Capitan, version 10.11.6 and I am on Firefox 78.15.0esr, I cannot install the new upgrade. Can I continue using the older version of Firefox even though the sync will not work anymore?

When I enter the address of a website that I like the browser opens a chinese version of the same website. I try changing the address repeatedly and it always goes to the chinese website.

www.lomography.com goes to lomography.cn automatically. I can't change it.

I want to view the website in English (US).

Been trying to find my way through controls to change this but to no avail.

What do I do?

Hello. I have recently not been able to download to my old iMac. I am using Firefox 78.15.0esr (64-bit), which is supposedly up to date. My download folder has always been the designated location for downloads. I am trying for the past few days to download from Neil Young Archives. I have successfully downloaded from them in the past. I refreshed my browser, and the problem seemed to clear up, as the My Downloads folder on the NYA site showed my purchases and responded to me clicking the download button, but the download failed;I got a message that the source folder could not be found, and only a small .zip file appeared in my macs download folder. Then I tried again, and the NYA downloading process ran, but nothing appeared on my computer and the download progress arrow showed no activity. I don't know if this is a Firefox issue, a Neil Young Archives issue, or what, but I am befuddled. Please advise if you can. Thank you. --Brian Irving

Hi there, Please see attached image of screenshots of searches on Firefox and Chrome. The Firefox search images are incomplete whereas the Chrome images are complete. This has only started happening on Firefox recently. Can you please help me resolve this issue. I have cleared the cache & cookies, restarted my macbook etc but nothing has worked. I am no longer able to log in to eBay using Firefox. I am using Firefox 78.15esu bc I have an older Mac that will only support up to Mac OSX 10.11. I was able to use eBay up until this morning when the site asked me to log in again... and verify that I am indeed a human through the hCaptcha checker. The checker cycles between identifying horses and lions... and every time, I seem to pass but then comes the message "Failed to pass Captcha, Please try again." I can access eBay using Safari and Chrome. Right before the failure today, the rendering of the eBay pages was odd... needed 3x the screen width to see the whole page. eBay says that the problem is on the Mozilla side of this issue... mostly because I can use a different browser without problem. I think I am in agreement with them. I don't really want to use a different browser but I will bc I like eBay, too. Please advise.

On start-up the Firefox browser shows a list of articles/topics that is referred to as Pockets. I clicked on one from Orion Magazine this morning and after the article was up for about 30 seconds a graphic appeared that showed a large metal looking sphere and was suppose to augment the article. This graphic completely locked up my computer. I am running an ancient iMac, mid-2007, and it took bringing down my wi-fi network and a little frustration to get my computer unfrozen. Please take down this article.

I did a refresh yesterday and lost my passwords. I have another computer where the passwords are functioning and I have the "old file" but I don't know how to use it. I clicked on the old file, but just came up with another file called EP7i0nok. It doesn't do anything but it just opens up and it doesn't have anything to restore data.

My query is how can I improve Firefox site performance with an OS X El Capitan 10.11.6 version? To my knowledge there is no upgrade available to Sierra. Are there any possible solutions to the limitations I am currently in?

I'm running Firefox 78.15.0esr on El Capitan 10.11.6 on my Mac Pro 4,1, 2009, because they are the last updates the computer can run.

Since approx 24 Sept, 10 days ago, I'v consistently been experiencing two types of glitch:

1. I can't UPLOAD photos to web sites. One says 'parse error'. Interestingly, the same is happening on WhatsApp (version 2.2236.10).

2. On some websites – a minority, but including Google sites – pages either don't load at all, they hang when loading, or they load without graphics content, or they load completely 'ASCII'.

I'm wondering whether it's either 1. a tweak in Firefox, or 2. a tweal in Mac OS 10.11.6, or 3. some other in global internet protocols that my old browser and old WhatsApp can't cope with

...or something else. Is the same happening to anyone else? Any ideas, anyone?

I accidently unistalled firefox on my macbook pro, I had to re install. I had to sign back inot fire fox by creating a new account under robinpegden@icloud,com.

I already had a firefox under this user name. Can you link my old account so I can transfer all book marks saved etc? thank you.

been spending the day updating passwords and i finally had to update my firefox account password, sadly i had lost the original password so i had to fully reset it. Idk if that contributed to the issue at all but ill mention it just in case this is a known problem. now im trying to sign back in and it just keeps getting stuck loading saying "working" some other things, I use waterfox as my laptop runs macOS 10.11.16, so I'm also worried that this is not a bug but a "feature" intended to push users to update their browsers. as i type this its been "working" on signing me in for about 5 minutes and i doubt its doing anything but spinning that wheel around for show. i was able to sign back in on my phone, any help?
