Hello everyone, My browser opens with two small pop-ups that pops and closes immediately right before the actual firefox window shows up. I have noticed that some time ago and I'm pretty sure this wasn't happening before. I didn't do any updates or add on's (firefox or windows). What could be causing this? Could it be a virus infections? Windows Defender scanner doesn't find any threats. Thanks for any tips and help.

I continued reading on FireFox, and found that there is a "Refresh" procedure that might work, AND IT WORKED!

When running a remote desktop connection, if the the remote computer has a web player running (YouTube, Spotify, SoundCloud, etc.) it will stop playback and audio will stop outputting from the remote computer.

However, you can hit play again on the web player and it will resume playing. But once you end your remote desktop connection the player will stop again and all audio or video output

There is a post here (https://mzl.la/3Pg6xU3) that stated you can change "security.sandbox.content.level" value to "2" but this did not work.

Any ideas?

i keep installing over and over again and launching at the same time and for some reason the error keeps popping up. i was able to launch and play a Roblox games for a few times via browser so its safe to say that u can indeed play on the website its just that the error that it keeps popping out and not launching the game once in a while

While I was browsing an open tab I moved my cursor over to the Bookmarks icon and the cursor automatically enlarged itself. I expect the cursor to remain at its normal size when I hover over the bookmarks icon but instead it became larger. I cannot reproduce the error unfortunately.

Every time I quit FF, FF crashes, or my Mac crashes, my bookmarks either disappear entirely, or the toolbar bookmarks and/or my "Other Bookmarks" folder disappear while leaving my main "Bookmarks Menu" bookmarks. When I tried to restore from json backups, I discovered that my last one seems to be from last October. So I used Time Machine to restore my FF user profile from March 1. This works, but then I go through the cycle I just described above again ... and again. New backups of my Mac do not hold onto the bookmarks when I restore FF user profiles made after March 1.

When I try to manually back up my bookmarks or export my bookmarks to an HTML file from inside the "Manage Bookmarks" window, everything seems to work, but then when I go looking for the file I supposedly created (e.g. bookmarks-2024-03-04.json), no such file exists in the location where I saved it and searching for a file with "bookmarks" in its name yields only bookmarks from other browsers and the old bookmark backups from last October and earlier.

A friend opened a gmail account on my fire fox browser and saved her password on the saved folder. I mistakenly log her out this morning and we have been trying to recover her account but couldn't as she can't remember her password again.

We tried to check the saved password for the details but couldn't find the password again. Can you please assist?

In a recent Firefox browser update, my ability to reference my home router by name via the Windows HOSTS file stopped. I can ping the router by name from a CMD window just fine but keying the name into Firefox now fails. Images show the two forms of failure - a 500 Error when DNS over HTTPS is enabled; a 'having problems' error with suggestion of www..com alternative when DNS over HTTPS is disabled. Neither is the least bit helpful.

I can't imagine what changed and I can't find a prior support response that gives any clear ideas.

I don't know how you can help. I really really really hate hunting for things that were there in previous years. I do not like full screen lay over that mozilla has taken to doing, if it doesn't stop i will have to remove it. I want to see my tabs, I want mozilla to stop playing with my settings and logging me out when I am idle or on my phone. There are people with the same problem but its all techy talk and i don't understand and its playing with my time to constantly search or resign in. I don't need microsoft anything, hate it, don't use cloud, don't use chrome... so do we have an issue? one more thing... I absolutely hate with a passion of terminator any fucking ai garbage and bots. would sooner smash devices and take out a fire arm to shoot any robots. Hope that makes it clear. I have anxiety issues, so swearing is an issue, get used to it especially if artifical nonsence is involved. I try very hard not to swear at people. Ai is a different matter. I have norton antivirus.

Hello. I experience a problem that occurred 2 days ago. Firefox seems to ignore my preferences of opening previous windows and tabs, also it ignores pinned tabs. Some of websites disappear from the history (let's say i opened few windows to check if tabs will be saved by firefox, closed browser, opened it after few minutes: tabs are gone, history has only few of websites that were open. I tried to look for the problem by myself but failed. I will be grateful for your reply, thank you in advance.
