I have my book marks in a side menu. Recently that side menu disappeared and when I click on the menu to install it again my bookmarks are not there and have been replaced with a bunch of stuff I don't use. How do I get my original book marks back? These bookmarks were for both my business and personal contacts. Leeanne Mackowski lmackowski@speclt.net 817-880-1097

I had to downgrade Firefox. Before I did I created a new profile so we would not lose the old bookmarks. Now Firefox downgraded and no bookmarks or profile. Then I upgraded back to the latest Firefox and still no profile or old bookmarks. Can anyone suggest where they might be?

I can't get the "Other" bookmarks folder to go away.

I tried right-clicking on the folder & the context menu didn't show up. I tried about:config & changed the value to false. That didn't work.

I closed the browser after changing the boolean value to false & then restarted the browser. That didn't help.

I don't want to mess things up. I can't change the name of the folder. I was hoping that renaming the folder & then deleting it would solve the problem.

How do I hide the "Other" folder & the "Bookmarks Menu" folder?

I have a Mac if that helps any.

I followed instructions for getting them back, but got stuck at the Library. I said restore and chose a date, but I get an error message: Unable to process the backup file.

i opened firefox (v.95) and tried opening up my email and found that all my saved passwords were gone from firefox on my computer. it said i should crate a firefox account to get my logins back so i did and i still could not access any of my web logins. so i searched the help pages. opened up my profile n made a backup of my key3, key4, n loginjson files, downloaded v.91 firefox esr and copied my key3 file into a new profile.

so i still dont have my web logins ... n now i have an outdated version of firefox with none of my bookmarks either. im sick of troubleshooting n my wifi is almost out for the month.

how do i get my web logins and bookmarks back so i dont have to spend hundreds of hours recreating them?

The bookmark dropdown submenus won't open any more. I can click Bookmarks>next random menu>next menu and it won't show the bookmarks. To be clear, I am going to a folder bookmark and then a sub-folder bookmark which won't show what is inside this sub-folder.

Any idea why this is happening?

I'm a long time Firefox user and for years I used the Notes section in Mozilla Firefox Bookmarks until it was removed in Rel 6.2. Next I used the ESR path to save all my Notes in Firefox Bookmarks. I used the notes to store the "what was your favorite dog?" security question, and notes on how to find hidden document at that web site.

This forum then suggestion I install an Extension "Bookmark Notes" It took a lot of time to manually copy my answers over to "Bookmark Notes", web site by web site, to all of my PCs.

Now I find that all of my information is missing from this extension and "Bookmark Notes" has gone unsupported since 2021.

• How can I repair "Bookmark Notes" Extension?
• Where are the notes stored for this extension?
• Can I reload all the copied information from a back up of my windows drive?
• Is there a replacement for the "Bookmark Notes" extension?

My laptop was out of action for quite some time with a u/s hard drive and no money to replace until now. I reloaded Waterfox, logged in and synced, however, I seem to have lost all my bookmarks. Can anybody advise me, please, as to if there is a way to recover them? My backups only go back to 20/05/2022.

When I right-click on my bookmarks and select Open in a New Tab, it switches automatically to it. I'd like to know how to disable that and avoid changing to newly opened tab. In my Settings I already have the "when you open a link...switch to it immediately" disabled. Thx

I was about to add another folder into my personal bookmark folder and I don't know what I did, maybe by accident and now I can find that bookmark folder...What should I do? much thanks... MW

I have bookmarked a site on my browser, and I need the bookmark to be stored in two different bookmark folders (I have one folder for working at home and one folder for working at the office). But every time I bookmark it in the second folder, the bookmark disappears from the first folder.

Hello; I have a hard time with your BM filing system. After setting up a new computer I have duplicates of "menu" "other" "unsorted" & I can't find an easy way to delete what I don't want. The explanations are confusing and user unfriendly. If you can just give a simple detail of what each file does, & how to use them, it would help 80yr olds like myself.
