Hello everyone,

I'm currently consuming APIs hosted on an external server using Java( or any other server side language), and everything works smoothly. However, when attempting to consume the same APIs in JavaScript, I encounter the 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' error.

After some research, I discovered that browsers implement security checks leading to this issue. Can anyone advise on how to disable these security checks or resolve this issue when accessing the website in the Firefox browser? Any insights would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Suddenly on my PC the icon of Firefox turned white on both desktop and taskbar. And whenever I try to open Firefox, it says, "The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable." And I didn't make any changes myself. So far it was fine. Now what can/should I do?

I'm having trouble using my bank's website. Sometimes I can't log on (error messages) or I can log on and can't use certain features. The bank is Regions. The site works with other browsers. Is there some setting on the latest Firefox that needs to be adjusted? The articles I've read don't help. Thanks.

Hi jscher2000, I want to thank you for your advice concerning a problem I had downloading Firefox to my Windows 10 laptop. I tried to follow your advice but was not successful. In the end, I googled "what if Firefox doesn't install". It took me to a website, https://www.makeuseof.com/fix-firefox-not-installing-windows , which took me to an article entitled "8 Fixes to Try if Firefox Won't Install on Windows". I tried #1 and #2 without success. #3, Temporarily Disable Your Antivirus Software, worked. Firefox is up and running. Feel free to share this with anyone who has a similar problem. Is there a way to set the default view and sorting for file upload folder?

The default for me is, detailed view and sorted by date.

I wanted to change it to large icon and sort by name, so it's easier to upload images. but I have to change the setting for every individual folder, is there a way to just set it as default?

I use Firefox version 103, the old version that is perfectly compatible with an extension I always use. I love this old version, and I don't want to update it to the new version. But the update reminder pops up many times everyday. it's so annoying. I used "about config" to turn it off (see photo 2); it works a bit, but the popup still there once daily after the configuration. I want to turn it off permanently. Is there any way to do it? My sync is only sometimes working. I notice that when saving a bookmark and trying to find it on another device. I sometimes have to manually resync it or wait for a few days to get it shown on my other devices. Same with the tab sharing across devices.. In most cases it doesn't work at all..

My LastPass extension appears as a black box with an elipse. It is red when it is active. I have logged in to LastPass, and when I go to the extensions icon and select "Open Extension" nothing happens. It's not filling in any of my login information.

Many of the extension are not safe even dangerous to use.

Please return the scroll bar to the proper width like in Win 10, like Chrome in Win 11. Who's the idiot that thinks tiny thin scroll bars are cool and easy to use? tf is wrong with you idiots. Don't offer me solutions. You are the solution. Update firefox, fix the damn scroll bar.

So I have 2 screens. I put Youtube tutorials in my rightmost screen and have unreal engine open in my leftmost screen. I use my keyboard keys to pause the videos so I can type stuff or make changes as I follow along tutorials. Each and every time I hit pause/play this popup appears in the top-left of my leftmost screen showing a picture of the video that I have open (why this redundancy....I have it full screen already on screen), it shows a huge title of the vid (again with the redundancy I don't need another title of a vid that I am watching to keep appearing), it shows a rewind/play/fast forward which is really really poorly thought out.........we have those keys on our keyboard this just is more stuff blocking our view. All of these things block out the top left stuff in my window (file/edit/asset/window/tools/help)...its so large it blocks out all tabs open in this window...its so large it even blocks out part of my viewport and other areas in that vicinity. Now all of these things it blocks out are important and I need to use them. When I pause vid I am immediately needing to use things in this space. Then you turn it off using the solution: media.hardwaremediakeys.enabled = false and your buttons also stop working. So now you cannot pause/play without mousing off screen to YouTube and manually restarting.

So my first and most important question is how to HIDE not disable the use of the buttons associated with this.

My second question that I really want to put in all caps with expletives and maybe copy and paste the question like 5000000 times so that the amount of frustration this causes on a constant basis with every workflow that I need to use vids as part of it...is WHYYYYY?!?!?!

Ait now that last bit was for flair but I'm not even really joking with that one.

the Ask to Save Website Passwords Option keeps Deselecting itself, it will not stay selected

Because of that, the Auto fill Username & Password fields do not populate.

I have already Uninstalled Firefox, removed all files from my system, deleted all Firefox App Data from my system, Reinstalled Firefox from Scratch, reconfigured all, but can not get this working correctly

Firefox browser no longer on W7 laptop. Followed instructions-downloaded setup and installer. Neither will do anything - message says no program association to implement thses files. Help!

For some reason my Firefox on my Mac and Windows computer won't sync even though I am using the same account. I would like my Mac to look the same as my Windows computer. I have tried logging in and logging out on both, all the basic fixes but nothing has helped.

When I have sent an email, it is not seen in 'all mails' nor 'sent emails', it is attached to a thread, when I open the thread, I have to go through many 'header' emails to find it at the bottom. Why is my last email NOT in 'sent', not in 'all mail' - or if it is on the thread, not seen at the TOP, displayed, ready to reply. Sending me nuts. Please advise how I can customize - to see the emails sent and received in REAL time. Currently my sent mail has so few in the folder. How can I stop this. I want All Mail and Sent mail, at the time I sent them. Not buried, Not as threads. I have tried removing threads, and it think it wants to delete them, I don't want that.

anytime I type www into the URL window firefox autopopulates youtube.com even though I have turned off auto suggestion. It shows up before the bookmarked links !

it always automatically checks the "Search suggestions ahead of address bar results" and will not let me uncheck it.

I just dont want it to suggest anything and am okay typing the complete URL. How can I fix this issue? I am including snapshot of what the autosuggestion, settings and version info in the attached doc

Recently Youtube refuses to play any videos for me, saying adblockers are against their rules. I have uninstalled Adblock, and reset firefox totally. Youtube is still blocking me. It works fine on Chrome. Do I have to switch to Chrome permanently?
