On the start page it said that I needed to update Firefox to the latest version. So I clicked on update and followed all the steps. I clicked to save to desktop, but there is no icon there and when I go to the start page, it keeps saying that I need to update Firefox to the latest version. Also when I try to play my games at Pogo.com, it says I have a pop-up blocker on and the games will not load. How do I get rid of this? Can't find a pop-up blocker in my tool bars. Is it a part of the Mozilla Firefox?

When I drag a copy a website favorite from Firefox's Untitled Bookmarks to my desktop, the company icon is changed to the Mozilla icon. This results in all my desktop icons looking the same, though the individual labels are preserved.

I downloaded the latest update and now my Google page (the whole screen) is missing. I have this little tiny Google window at the top bar. I hate this and want my full-screen Google page back! Help!

I am running FF 3.6.25 on Windows 2000. My Windows locale and date format are correctly set to UK.

When I go to a site that has a date column, the date is formatted wrongly in American style (e.g. 12/30/2011). If I use Internet Explorer to reach the same sites the date is correctly formatted in British style (e.g. 30/12/2011). How can I set the display style within Firefox?

Windows 2000 SP4, 1g RAM, Firefox 9.0.1 We keep IE6 and Firefox open simultaneously for 2 different mail accounts. Firefox was always much faster even with 3 or 4 tabs open, but for the past couple of weeks when trying to update a screen the CPU suddenly goes to 100% usage and of course nothing will move until the particular process is finished. Closing one or more tabs does not help. If I close Firefox completely with Task Manager CPU usage goes back down to nil. After restarting Firefox CPU usage may or may not go back up depending upon whether it tries to continue the previous task that was locking it up. It did not do this with Firefox 3.6 but then again it didn't happen immediately after updating to 9.0.1 either.

While on Facebook with Firefox browser: I clicked on my work description I did a right click on that silly stock photo of a briefcase At bottom of popup box was choice 'view image info' I clicked on 'view image info' New popup box with image info I checked box 'Block Images from external.ak.fbcdn.net' I probably clicked box 'Save as'... I am not sure how I closed image info box Now the 'briefcase' profile image does not show but neither does my profile photo or friends profile photos.

How can I get back to that box to uncheck it? THANKS...

I tried to download latest version multiple times but it didn't help. I have firefox 9.0.1 and when I click: Help -> about firefox there's written that it's up to date. I came across a problem also while posting a message on one of forums: Gamedev.net. I couldn't check the message window in order to type anything. Hwo can I solve these problems?

CP is at 100% meaning computer is maxed out bad performance Win 2k is the Operating System 9.0 seems to be the worse performer 4.0 maxes at 100 but not as frequently Research indicates increased ads and non essential overhead hurts, something related to a "Flash" So............ How do I inhibit all the graphics and ads??

What are the recommended vs. minumum system requirements for the latest bersion of Firefox vs. SVersion 9.xx? I'm running Windows 2000 Professional with SP4 installed and DO NOT want to have Firefox slow down my system in any way.

My bookmark system worked until a few days ago, and now will not let me save new pages or delete existing ones. Tried the two methods described on main site, neither worked.

I have no problem with either of my printers when printing from either Avant 11.7 or IE 6.0.2800.1106 but can not print from Firefox 3.6.13 (or earlier). When trying to print to the HP PSC 750 inkjet printer, a "Printing" dialog box appears, showing Title: xyz and a progress meter showing 100% but this is being overlaid almost immediately by a second dialog box stating "An unknown error occurred while printing" and, while the printer continues saying "printing", no printing will take place.

When trying to print to the Brother HL-5240 laser printer, printing will occur but all formatting is lost and what comes out is a block of unintelligible running text.

What can/must I do to get Firefox to print correctly to my two printers?

Old machine (desktop) runs Win2K and FF 3.6. New machine (laptop) runs Win7 but has no browser (except IE). Want to put current FF (10?) on laptop and transfer profile from desktop. Can't put current FF on desktop because current Flash won't run on Win2K. Profile, I presume, includes bookmarks, passwords, form help (auto-completion of (e.g.) email add.) and all add-ons. I can find (thanks to article here) the profiles on both machines. Can I just copy and overwrite the presumably blank one created when I install current FF on the laptop? If not how do I do it?

If I have Firefox open, and I then open my email client MS Outlook 2000, if there is an email with a html link in it, if I click on this link it does nothing, but if I close Firefox and then click on that email link Firefox then opens.

I would ultimately find that if I were to try and open another email link it would do nothing until I closed Firefox again.
