After updating my openSUSE Firefox package from version 122 to 123 every frame inside each window started to have weird grey overlay of scrollable area. I failed to find any description of such a thing happening, let alone how to get rid of it. I tried removing build-in distro-default preferences and had complete audit of all my custom preferences in about:config but none changed that behavior. I even updated to 124b4 but this also haven't changed anything. Naturally, nuking entire profile is not an option, I might as well replace the whole browser. So, how do I get rid of this thing?

I have MS One Drive. In the last week I cannot connect to it from my online Outlook mail page. I have tried using Edge and Chrome and it works fine on these browsers.

Can you help me resolve this problem please.

Hello, My firefox has been randomly exiting for a longer time now. (I reopen Firefox it restores itself without any crash info) I've already tried reinstalling and using the cleaning tool. Now I wanted to remove my Addons, but one of them isn't deletable. It also has no name displayed which confused me... Furthermore, there are only "InstalTime12345678"-files in the crash reports directory (which I think aren crash reports). It seems to me the mysterious addon is installed through the policies. My problem is this:

If I click on the open new tab button, and then I keep my cursor there, such that I get the little tooltip "Open a new tab (Ctrl+T)..." , Firefox will stop the address bar from updating---it won't show my keyboard inputs, not will it search, or do anything else. This will resolve itself after I move my cursor away from the open new tab button and the tooltip stops showing, even my inputs will appear there.

This quite annoying, especially when opening a tab to search for something quickly...

properly. A lot of the text comes out in very narrow columns. The problem happens quite often on eBay. Chrome does render it properly. Could you please look into this? Thanks, Jon

Hi, my Firefox on Win10 doesn't work, I've been forced to go back to Chrome. After a crash in Win10, Firefox doesn't work anymore: it opens, be it launched by me or by other programs, but it just sits there, blank, doing nothing. It is impossible to interact with menus and everything. Task Manager shows two open instances of the browser, using RAM, but the browser doesn't do anything. It doesn't "crash" and it doesn't freeze, it just stays like that. If I quit it and try opening it again the PC tells me it's open already, and Task Manager shows a couple instances staying there after quitting it, as if it stayed stuck. I tried resetting it from the Apps settings of Windows, but nothing happened, I tried uninstalling it and then installing it again, but nothing happened. Restarting the PC a couple of times changed nothing. In the end, I had to go back to Chrome and even put it as default browser because all programs were calling up Firefox which stayed unresponsive. Anybody knows what I should do in a case like this?

Hi, yesterday I got a new computer and I installed the Firefox on it, but when I started the browser for the first time, it was a mistake (I pushed the button by accident), so I immediately closed it. It was asking something about allowing the use of coolkies, but I didn't answer to that and simply closed the window.

The thing is that since then my firefox don't load properly. The buttons and the autocomplete are normally responding, but all pages (including the settings) are blank and sometimes it won't start at all and I have to close it with taskmanager to make it open next time (but still blank).

Does anyone have the idea what's going on?

The browser (version 107) regularly crashes and then never launches. After entering failure mode, I disabled all the extensions, but it still wouldn't start. Later, I disabled the hardware acceleration, and I can start the browser, and the extensions work. But then, it still crashes occasionally and periodically. I tried to change to version 100 and also have a similar problem. Resetting Profiles would start, but it would still crash after a while. It crashes for me too.

i have a problem with Rightmove.co.uk webpages. On the webpage where you can see house plans, I zoom into the plan, and the plan just cannot be moved anymore and zoomed as well. I entered Firefox in troubleshooting mode without any extensions enabled and the same issue happened still. I tested the Brave and Chrome, no problems there. I tested Firefox latest version and also the ESR version, both had the same issue. Just paid $150.00 for a remote session from my computer store. Advice is: My older computer (2004)and it's graphic capabilities aren't compatible with newest FF. So I'll stick with older version (9) until I decide to get new computer. Firefox is my preference, but if I update, it's likely to break again. Please tell me how to stop all update notices. It is maddening. Or, if you can do it, please do. I don't want to use the others. It has crashed twice, just FF, in the last few days. A system restore saved me, but I updated and lost it. I've got the latest English (US) version of Firefox 108.0 from this website. The problem is with Windows crashing in few seconds after Firefox is launched. Although this trouble appeared yesterday (maybe after the automatic update of FF - I'm not sure).

I'm using firefox 122.0, 64bits, on windows 10.

Since a few days (issues might be older, I have not used those site in a while) I canot watch netflix, I get the aparently infamous error code F7121-3078, which aparently means my browser is out of date, which it's not...

I also canot use musescore anymore, https://musescore.com/user/166080/scores/359836 for exemple, the page load halfway and then I get a firefox error that this page is slowling it down and ask me to close it. It's the same for every single music sheet, the rest of the website works fine.

I've tried to use troubleshoot mode for both website, and it's not working. I'm runing out of ideas so I've come here for help.

I just "refreshed" firefox after it stopped loading all the websites. I then tried to isolate the problem, found out that there is no issues with my firefox and any of its add ons. But as soon as I add Chrome folder and a css to enable multirow bookmarks folder. No website launches. Just white screen. Anyone experienced the same?

Please help as I really need multirow bookmarks. Thank you.

Hi! Yesterday i updated my firefox to last version and i got my UI way too big, so today i looked online for some fix on that. I found a fix saying if you add a line in about:config site with the parameter "ui.textScaleFactor" with a value of 100 it will be fixed. but by mistake i changed it to 10 insted of 100 so when i open firefox i have a super big black screen

most of my problems are i can't reinstall firefox because it made the same weird big ui problem. There is any way to fix it?

I was getting an unspecified bug with Mozilla VPN that wouldn't let me launch it, update it, or sign out of it. I decided to uninstall and reinstall it. Uninstalling the VPN required me to close out of Firefox. I did so. When I relaunched it after the uninstall so I could go download the new VPN files, Firefox was still displaying the tab titles but nothing else, not even the urls of the pages. The entire browser was completely blank except for the tabs. No other pages are accessible either. I tried restarting the computer. It didn't work. I tried uninstalling Firefox, restarting the computer, and reinstalling Firefox. It didn't work. I tried a clean reinstall where I deleted every scrap of leftover data I could find. It didn't work. I got a VCRUNTIME140_1.DLL error during an install attempt, which I attempted to fix by updating Visual Studio as outlined here https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1352013 and that didn't fix it either.

I would suggest within the last month or so Firefox has started to hang in a way that everything continues to "work" but I cannot switch tabs and I cannot do anything else with Firefox until I kill it.

I can periodically reproduce this by: Randomly select and copy text on a website.

Behavior observed: You can no longer switch tabs, enter a new location, close tabs, or really interact with the browser at all even though it is not dead. Keyboard shortcuts do not work either.

I've used Firefox sporadically for a couple of years. Last week it would not open. I refreshed, then uninstalled and reinstalled and it still won't open. What do I do now?
