hello:) using firefox 87 with windows 10 tried roboform did not like so removed it, now autofill passwords does not work never a problem before roboform , what can i do to fix it? allen-tina@comcast.net

I have persistent spam-ware type download that wont go away. I have deleted it but every time I restart Firefox it comes back and pops up saying "This File may harm your Computer" but i can't complete the download or remove it permanently. i have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox several times and it has not worked how can i get rid of this? Using Firefox 68.12.0ESR. I know 78 is available, I just haven't had the time to test it yet. I delete cookies when I exit Firefox. I want to keep some for sites that I trust, such as this site. I've added exceptions to Allow these trusted sites as documented on a thread somewhere else, but it doesn't work. All cookies are deleted.

Is it possible to keep cookies only for a select group of sites. eg. support.mozilla.com, tomshardware.com, mydigitallife.net, speedtest.net and so on.

Hi all, I have an Apache site on Kubuntu 20.04 with a certificate signed by my private CA. I've added the root CA ceritificate in Firefox and in Chromium.

Firefox throws a SEC_ERROR_BAD_SIGNATURE error

Chromium accept the certificate as valid

What can I do?

Notes: the site url is "https://hdev.h.net" (with an internal IP address inside my lab)

- the certification authority certificate as seen by Firefox
- the site certificate

Hello, I would like to log out remotely from the Firefox browser that is installed on another device because it automatically logs in to all websites that I have visited frequently. Among other things, it is a discord where I value privacy very much and I do not want any person using the laptop (because there is no password and the device is also used by other people in the family) to have access to the account. First of all, I want to log out of the browser (i.e. simply log in again to just protect my data). This need came to me because the website (I closed the discord and I am 100% sure of it and it shows me that it is open all the time). This is said about master password: Important: After you have defined and set your primary password, you will be prompted to enter it once for each Firefox session, when Firefox needs access to your stored passwords. This also applies if you want to add, remove or show a password.

I think that "when Firefox needs access.." should be changed to "regardless if Firefox needs it or not".

It would be much better if the master password promt was delayed until the first time it was needed.

want to add lightsource.com on Firefox. Firefox will not allow it. It's a religious channel and I want to add it. Can I override Firefox somehow to get the channel?

Is the version of Firefox in the Linux repositories the China version with an American facelift?

I know you all do not have command and control of this, but I thought someone should be aware that the default Firefox browser for Linux installs seems to be the CCP Firefox and not American version. With all the CISA activity, it might be something to look into.

I clicked the box for "Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed." and now every time I want to access one of my regular websites I have to log in and enter my passwords again. I want to UNcheck the box for "Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed" but the option is faded out and it will not allow me to UNcheck the box. How do I UNcheck the box for "Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed."?

I am currently very frustrated with this, please give step by step instruction on how to resolve this issue. Thank you.

Please can someone tell me why is there such a long delay between opening firefox and the master password prompt?

Also if anyone knows if there is some way to either speed up the master password prompt so that it opens instantly on opening firefox or prevent it from opening until a password box is present on the webpage.

The delay in the master password prompt is up to 20 seconds and is so annoying, it just gets in the way when you are trying to work.

I really like firefox but have to shut it down to add a new password if I don't use one of yours which are too long and complicated. And I don't think you need to have my passwords. Typical firefox password:

4ut693zdfcp049stev5dd679*. To long and too complicated. And does not give me choice to make my own. It is like a rabid pitbull.

Good morning, please help & advise. I am obviously doing something wrong or missing something but I cannot find out how to disconnect my Primary Password which Firefox asked for everytime I click on Firefox. I only want to use the Primary Password when I want to open an excisting connection to a saved folder or site.

I have been using Firefox for years. I recently decided to tinker around a little with private browsing. I had my laptop and phone sync'd. Within the last 10 days or so I have been restricted to only accessing my bank using private browsing. I have been online with my bank to try and resolve, to no avail. I have added exceptions for all the cookies, pop up windows etc for my bank and still nothing. I have disabled the syncing and still nothing. My bank said they have had some communications issues with Firefox...I tried to login with Chrome and sailed right into my bank account. I really don't want to have to use another browser to access my bank.

Below is the error I get. Please help!! its truly a hassle to HAVE to use private browsing for 1 item.
