Below are communication I have had with both Glarysoft Support and Hideaway VPN by Firetrust Limited. I have narrowed the issue of detection of Trojan:HTML/Phish!pz by MS Defender While running Glary Utilities. (see screenshot).

Jeremy, Thank you for your rapid response. I connected to 3 different VPN servers, and used the link you provided (https://user-support.firetrust.com/Tickets/Reply/36314) below via Firefox, Chrome, and Edge. Connections to Seattle, Dallas, and Washington DC all produced the same result as before ONLY with Firefox. The issue WAS NOT reproduced by Chrome or Edge. I hope this helps resolve the problem because, I have issues with both Edge and Chrome. Particularly with their self-serving propensities.

- - This MS Defender notice occurred during a 1-Click Maintenance/Temporary File Cleaner; - file: C:\Users\Rodman\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\wg6stjgb.default-release-1640201893394 \cache2\entries\08D20F0659D23D2EF0621F044374EA076FED5146 -An immediate 1-Click Maintenance/Temporary File Cleaner produces no notices (I assume because the Trojan has been quarantined). However, on further investigation I discovered that this notice occurs when the VPN (Hideaway by -Firetrust Limited) is active. Turning off the VPN then opening Firefox and visiting the same site produced "No notice" from MS Defender during a 1-Click Maintenance/Temporary File Cleaner procedure. -Therefore, I am CCing a copy of this to Hideaway Support. Please contact them ([edited] @firetrust.com) to see if together a resolution can be obtained. -

Hi there, Yes, that is odd, as nothing in Hideaway itself could cause this, possibly however it is due to the IP address of the server you are connected to via Hideaway?

You can see what IP address it is in Hideaway while it is connected on the main Hideaway screen, eg the below screenshot for the NZ server:

When trying to set up proxies in firefox, I typ in about:config i accept the risk and continue and get this message: Changing these preferences can impact Firefox performance or security. And I cant go any further. Please advise.

Is there a way to block about:preferences With gpo or regedit I tried in different ways with the site block gpo and with the policies.json file but it didn't work mozilla 120.0.1 (64-bit).msi

Why is Firefox suddenly not remembering any of my logins or passwords? When I go into Preferences > Security, the box to "remember logins and passwords for websites" is checked. When I click on saved passwords they all are there. The do you want to save box is there if I have changed a login, or added a new web site. I am not in private browsing mode. The problem seems to happen every time I install the latest Firefox update, or Windows 10 Pro updates. Some of my apps want to know if I am using a new device.

ID/PW is not displayed automatically. "Settings" ⇒ "Privacy and Security" ⇒ The check mark for "Retain website login information and password (R)" is always missing. Even if I put a checkmark in it, when I restart Firefox, the checkmark disappears.

After restarting my computer last week, I suddenly couldn't reach ANY websites on my computer. I tried changing security settings. I tried deleting Firefox and reinstalling it. Still, to no avail.

I don't have any problem reaching websites via Firefox on my laptop or my mobile devices. I also have no issues with using Google Chrome or Bing.

For some reason, though, I'm suddenly having the same connectivity issue using Zoom, citing Firewall and Proxy issues (I'm a single, home user). I tried turning my security program off, and that didn't help. I also did a scan using the security software and it could find no malware.

I have tried restarting the computer, and powering off and restarting the router. No help.

I'm not sure why I'm suddenly getting this issue with my desktop. I have Dell ProSupport, and while they're trying, they haven't been able to nail anything down.

Any ideas why this would suddenly happen, and only to Firefox? (and, for some reason, the Zoom connectivity?)

I'm trying to configure my router and the instructions tell me to go to https://192.168.1.1. But the security settings will not allow me to get to that (local network) IP address, and ther.is no option to bypass the warning

I'm getting the above message after installing the latest FireFox update. I've been using the site with FireFox since 2006 and now it won't connect. I tried connecting on another computer with FireFox and it worked just fine. Verified that it was the same version and it is. Tried accessing the same site using Google and once again, it connected just fine. But somehow, since I updated the browser on this computer, it will not connect.

I had the IT rep try it on their computer and it connected. So something has happened with the update I made yesterday. Help, please!

I would like to remain logged into google and youtube after i close firefox. After clearing my history once, i now get logged out every time i close firefox.

this website 'https://m.nearbyme.io/search' automatically opening in a new tab. How i can stop it from automatically opening? Many other websites are also automatically opening in new tabs.

Please let me know how to stop these websites from automatically opening.
