why can't I use the lingq importer extention? I get a message for all my extentions that says: firefox extension can't read and change data on this site. It's preventing me from using the LingQ importer extention.

I have logged out of one Gmail account and want Firefox to use another, but Firefox ignores the one I want to use. How do I get Firefox to recognize a certain Gmail account so I can receive mail?

What is a security key? Where do I find it? Why does Firefox think I have one?

And why is there no helpful information to explain this confusing UX?

To open a link of a website in the background tab is CTRL+click, why is it that to open a bookmark of the bookmark toolbar in the background tab is CTRL+shift+click. It is confusing! A bookmark is a link! For comparison, both of them are CTRL + click in chromium. BTW, there is no explanation in advanced configuration preferences.

I am afraid to update to Firefox 124 for fear of losing the existing order of 100s of open tabs if the default setting of ordering tabs by "Recently Opened" kicks in before I have a chance to change the setting to "Tab Order". Can anyone help me? I'd like to upgrade to 124 if I can do so safely!

Hi Every single one of my passwords is compromised according to you. Therefore I think the data breach is with Firefox . I have set up several unique passwords recently - how are they breached so soon? And why every single one. It is very suspicious. Regards Caroline

I Cannot restore 3/1 or 2/29 Bookmarks!!! What's going on with Firefox??? Now, all there is in my Bookmarks are five listings saying, " BS2trash folder for undo of bookmark deletes- DO NOT REMOVE ..."

I wouldn't have to do this except that somehow, a Bookmark folder disappeared. All too often is has occurred. I have many, many very important Bookmarks. How can I get them back---and soon?

I saw a message that my Add-ons were disabled, and when I checked the Add-ons Manager , each of my many Add-ons had a message similar to: "1Password – Password Manager could not be verified for use in Firefox and has been disabled. "

Some searches in the forums suggest that that this can be caused my a certificate at Mozilla expiring, I seem to be the only one with this issue at the moment. All of my Add-ons came through the Mozilla store .

I am using version 123.0.1 (64-bit) on OpenSUSE Leap 15.5, and as far as I can see all of my updates are current (and from the official sources.)

What should I do next? I expect I need to wait for a certificate update or something at Mozilla, but if/when that happens how do I verify it did and re-enable my add-ons?

Hi, I watch specific streaming live show on YouTube every week. Unfortunately, I always have to play it in non-Firefox browser, because the video freezes every couple minutes, while audio track is still playing in the background. Based on the comments from the stream chat, other people have this issue too. Why? How to fix it? It is annoying. Internet connection is ok. Other browsers no issue. OS Linux Mint 20 Ulyana 64-bit Kernel Linux 5.4.0-172-generic x86_64 MATE 1.24.0 Mozilla Firefox 123.0 (64-bit)

After some time of idle, i.e. leave the computer for some time, say over night. No suspend or hibernate. Back to the computer next morning, unlock. Then Firefox appears frozen/hang, can't switch tab (clicking tab has no response, but not really frozen, sometimes responses after dozens of seconds of lag), page also has no response. Then after around half to 2 minutes, everything back to normal.

During the "hang", CPU load is load, no memory stress (swapping/paging).

Environment:

Firefox 123.0 (64-bit), (actually it bothered me for years)

Linux 6.6.15-amd64 #1 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Debian 6.6.15-2 (2024-02-04) x86_64 GNU/Linux

Our website, Stjathenaeum.org, goes to a page saying the certification does not match, and says you can continue at your own risk (basically). Is there anywhere to fix this issue?

Ever since I installed Firefox 123.0, when I execute a search on Yahoo.com, Firefox automatically opens up a new window or tab (depending upon how you have it set up in settings) when it didn't before. When I try this with Firefox using Google.com to search, it does NOT open up a new window/tab. But when I try it with Yahoo.com when using Google Chrome, it does NOT open up a new tab. So it would appear that the behavior is being caused by something in Firefox.

I tried making various changes in settings and Firefox about:config that were recommended in previous questions here, but they did not alter the behavior. I would like the behavior to return to simply performing the search within the same window (I can always scroll back to get the original page). Can anyone help?

My update preference for Firefox is to download but I will install it. But it consistenly (over the last numerous updates) changes it to Automatic. I do not want Automatic updates. I want to control when it updates. I do not see this issue addressed anywhere. I have checked numerous times. Please help! My sincere thank you for your time and attention to my request for help. Macos sonoma m1 - firefox is default browser, duck duck go is default search engine

When doing a search directly from searchlight options, firefox uses google search instead of the duck duck go default.

All other searches from within firefox uses the default correctly.

Whenever I try to play videos on Firefox, the elements don't load right and no video will begin. On Youtube, this is usually either a blank page with no video element, or I get an error stating that the video can't be played. On Twitch, I get the streamer's default 'not streaming' message, even if they are live, and VODs don't work. I have several extensions to protect privacy and block ads, but even if they are all turned off I still have this problem. I've also tried turning my VPN off and on, and setting it to various different locations. Nothing works. I can watch videos on another browser without issue. Windows Updates (KB5035845) and 10.0.19041.4163

After these latest updates, EVERY, Firefox browser (derivatives included, i.e. LibreWolf, etc...) are opening VERY slowly. Its almost like the browser is freezing while opening for around 10 - 20 sec, then opening. It used to open within a second or two. If I uninstall the updates the problem goes away, BUT, windows re-installs them automatically. After it is up and running its ok. The problem seems to be on startup only.
