I have been getting the "new version available, download now nag for over 2 weeks, and I have the latest version. Still get this issue repeatedly every day. Starting to become an every hour nag to update and install latest version of Firefox. Refuse to use Microsoft Edge or Chrome, and will switch off Firefox too if not rectified.

I keep getting this message that pops up in a private window to restart to keep using firefox. Everytime I click restart Firefox, it closes my tabs and opens them again. However, 5 minutes later the window pops up again. Even after repeated attempts of updating, even doing a full restart on the computer, Firefox continues to send this window to me. The private window in the bar says about:restartrequired.

I've tried uninstalling Firefox with a fresh install as well as doing a Refresh of Firefox. Neither seem to solve this problem.

My Browser keeps on telling me there is an update... I've updated, reinstalled the latest version and it still keeps giving a pop-up saying there is an update...

How do I get rid of these pop-ups???

Firefox keeps reminding me that updates are available. I download and it says its installing but it doesn't seem to update. I have tried closing Firefox before running the installation but it makes no difference. I am on 125.02 at the moment.

After installing Thunderbird i had first download problems for new Firefox Versions. I tested around, installed everything new and found the solution. Somehow the Maintenance Service didn`t work properly on my machine and after deinstalling and restarting i can update firefox again. Problem remains: When trying to install Offline Languages , see picture, i get the message that it does not work. I tried everything possible, including reinstalling and deleting all old profiles (was a lot of work). Any ideas?

I've been using the same firefox (installed every update) for over 10 years now and a lot of bookmarks have been accumulated. They are from different sources for different reasons/subjects/interests etc... I think when I reached ~430.000 or something like that it really slowed firefox down in a way that even clicking on a folder in the "bookmark symbol bar" (the one underneath the URL address fiel) takes 2-3 sec to open up and show the containing bookmarks. In the bm-manager going from one folder to another also takes a few seconds. I've now deleted about 40.000 but no change it's still lagging. and deleting 1000 takes about 1h.

I've looked but so far I couldn't find another tool or a better way to manage all these URLs WITH their title.

I still want to keep them, but managing them has become so slow and tedious. So if you have any suggestions especially for other tools to manage them....

I also think the possibility to export only a part of them (selected ones, or specific folders) would be helpful; maybe also a tool to clean up the database? (like defrag did for harddrives?). or split it to differnt files? I don't know.

I know 400.000 bookmarks are extreme... but well....

I am using theme called WhiteSur to imitate Safari, as that is the browser layout I prefer. However, this doesn't change the position of the close tab button and leaves it on the right hand side. I found a way to change it, using the code .tabbrowser-tab .tab-close-button {

 margin-right: 2.5px !important;

} Unfortunately, this doesn't change based on the size of the tab, so if I set it to a size that is good for only having 1 tab, it will look bad or be off the screen for the other amounts of tabs. Is there a way to detect the width of the tab or the amount of tabs open and dynamically set the margins based off of this? So I could set it as (width-of-tab)-x and that would always keep the close tab button in the same spot, regardless of tab size. Thanks!

Hello:

I have installed and enabled sync under the same Mozilla account on my desktop and laptop. The only thing that seems NOT to sync between them is my add-ons. There was no sync error log when I checked. I have already tried logging out and logging back into my Mozilla account on both computers, turning off my antivirus real-time protection, double-checking my sync settings, and restarting both my computers.

This issue is beyond frustrating. Does anybody have any additional suggestions to save my sanity by correcting this issue? I would appreciate any assistance that is provided! Thank you!

Instagram page won't load. Doesn't load in Edge either. The proxy setting is off. It was loading yesterday, then today it won't. No malware detected by Mcafee or Spyhunter. My account is working fine from my phone.

I do not get my emails on my desktop. My email address ends with ---@ comcast.net. I can be reach via text on my Iphone. Thanks, Al Mizrahi

Web cam image on web page stopped working after last update. Using win 11. Tried refresh, worked last time but not this time, checked permission security settings. Can get the camera image on a tablet but not laptop. (lenovo) Anything I might have missed?

My Windows virus protection shows nothing but I keep getting notices int he lower right corner of my screen that say Mozilla Firefox ESR and tell me there is an infection. It tries to take me to a website to scan and then buy McAfee to fix it. If I make sure Firefox is shut down (forced through Task Manager) it seems to go away. It appears that only the Firefox browser may be infected.

I can login from other web browsers, but not Firefox. What's going on?

I have Screwfix.com as a bookmark in my Firefox browser(default) and have recently found that I am unable to log in to Screwfix.

Screwfix tell me that I should be able to log in using Microsoft Edge (I can) but I prefer Firefox!

Can you sort this out for me please?

I've been trying to delete cookies and site data multiple times and it will not delete, even after multiple attempts to fix it. Such as deleting Mozilla folder in file explorer and downloading an extension to delete cookies and cache. Everything else gets deleted fine except for 2 sites.

Firefox takes about 5 minutes to load every it launches, before working smoothly like it should. This problem occured first time yesterday morning, and I have no idea what could have caused it.

It happens :

• when I launch firefox normally (whatever the profile)
• when I launch it from the terminal (it provides no output at all)
• when I tell it to launch the Profile Manager (5 minutes to see the Profile Manager appear, then 5 more minutes to launch firefox using the selected profile)

It does not happen :

• when I click "New Window" inside an existing firefox process
• when I call `firefox --help` from the terminal

Here's what I've tried :

• First, I've seen pretty much every article from Mozilla Support, Reddit or SuperUser (writing this question is kind of my last resort)
• I've tried removing and then reinstalling Firefox from Flatpak, from the Fedora repos (using `sudo dnf install firefox`) and using the manual install via the archive (v125)
• I've tried downgrading firefox (when using the package manager install) from v125 to v124
• I've also tried the Firefox Developer Edition, same problem here
• I've tried using the "Refresh Firefox" feature and restarting in Troubleshoot Mode (both are also affected by the slow startup, which makes them particularly painful to execute)
• I've tried manually deleting the `~/.mozilla/` folder (= manually deleting my profiles)

When firefox launches, it does not freezes my OS and does not seem to use many system ressources : CPU usage is normal, RAM as well, and it does not seem to read many things from the disk as well (I've seen some threads where this was the issue).

And here is something interesting that I discovered :

• loading (including refreshing) `about:profiles` is also slow and this time freezes firefox (OS reports it as not responding, I can't switch tabs and I can't see my mouse). Other about pages seem to work fine (although I did not try them all)

PS : Even if I think it has nothing to do with the issue, I prefer to mention it here : I was messing with virtual machines yesterday when the issue occured for the first time. My disk got full at some point and I don't know but it might have messed with firefox. At this stage, I had not deleted any files that could relate somehow to Firefox, that's why I doubt it would have caused anything harmful to Firefox. (instead, I mounted an empty partition from my disk to get some space)

I've disabled all of my addons, cleared cache, and still youtube is broken for me. It works fine with Chrome still. Any ideas on how to fix? See attched screenshot.
