I am trying to use a <select> tag to display a color selector. So each <option> has a background color to match its displayed text:
```<select id="strokeColor" name="strokeColor" style="width: 10em;">
<option value="gray" style="background: #808080">
<option value="green" style="background: #00FF00">
<option value="red" style="background: #FF0000">
<option value="white" style="background: #FFFFFF">
<option value="yellow" style="background: #FFFF00">
yellow </option>
<option value="#000000" selected="" style="background: #000000">
#000000 </option> </select>```
On Chrome this displays as expected:
But on Firefox the background colors are ignored:
How can I get Firefox to display the background colors?
When I use the `--search` CLI option, Firefox searches the supplied term in a new window.
I want it to open itself in a new tab instead, so I tried out the following combination of CLI options:
``` $ firefox --new-tab --search "example" ```
Firefox does search for the given term, but it opens itself in a new window instead of a new tab, thus ignoring the `--new-tab` option.
Am I doing something wrong?

Since the 2 APR 2024 FF update, Washington Post articles are not displaying fully. When opened, the article flashes the full version, then only displays the top photo and the first two paragraphs. When opened in EDGE, all articles open fully as expected. This issue is only occurring in FF.
Actions taken: Cleared cache, same result.
Please advise.

When I open Firefox and want to go to Private. I go to the three lines at the top right of the Firefox page. I go down to Private. Then after selecting it, YET ANOTHER REGULAR FIREFOX PAGE OPENS. I NEVER had this problem until the start of 2024.
Please help as I used to have FIREFOX PRIVATE as my go to browser. Now, I use others and they do not work with some pages.
Please help as it is frustrating to keep getting a new Regular page.
My Mozilla browser has had me download "firefox Installer" daily for the past 6 days. The browser works as is. Is there a problem?

Dear Mozilla Community,
I am reaching out to seek assistance regarding an issue I have encountered while trying to access the website https://paydayloanseloanwarehouse.net/ on Mozilla Firefox. The website does not load, and I am unsure whether the problem is related to browser compatibility, a technical issue, or a possible blocking by the browser.
Has anyone else experienced this issue, or can provide guidance on how to resolve it? I have tried clearing my browser cache and disabling extensions, but the problem persists.
Any help or suggestions on how to access the website smoothly would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your support.

Firefox decided to remove the total amount of homepage shortcuts. For months, it allowed for 4 rows and 8 columns, with blank "Add Shortcut" shortcuts. This allowed me to organize or split my shortcuts better. This morning, it decided to move all shortcuts together. As per the "Before" and "After" screenshots attached.
Usual disclaimers: Firefox 125.0.1 (64-bit) on Windows 10 No Config edits No extensions currently installed manipulate, affect or otherwise influence shortcuts
Please advise.

So Mozilla supports privacy rights- and I've supported Mozilla for that reason- but they want Whatsapp to be censored for "misinformation" ? How does that go together? Whatsapp was supposed to be encrypted and not even Whatsapp was supposed to know the content of messages. How would they know about misinformation? And how do they get to decide what's misinformation now?

I'm using Firefox 124.0.2 (64 bit) on Windows, and every few days I get the error about using an older version of Firefox, with Exit or Create New Profile options. I then run "firefox -allow-downgrade" from the command prompt and everything works fine... for a few days, when it happens all over again. This only started happening a couple of weeks ago, but it's getting really annoying. How do I stop it (short of using something like Waterfox or Brave).
