Hello,

My add-ons have stopped working and are shown as Legacy ones.

Also I can't install new ones.

I believe this must have been caused by the recent Firefox bug.

I have noted that in about:config xpinstall.signatures.required has been set to false, so it looks like the fix has been applied.

For me this is not working and add-ons are still shown as legacy.

Is there anything I can do to cure this ?

I am very annoyed that the add-ons have been suspended without warning! I have tried the suggested ideas but nothing works - unable to even download an alternative claiming that I need to check my connection! How could I be looking at the suggestions if I had no connection. So how long before all is back to normal and I am not inundated with pathetic adverts? Brian Vaux

Firefox suddenly decided that Adaware is not longer compatible and disabled it.

I tried to download from your add-ons site but it would not download. I was prevented from downloading any other ad blockers from your ad-ons page.

What is going on??

Lastpass disappeared from my laptop and after looking add addons found that it was removed because it was deemed to be the free version and not compatible. I use the paid for version of lastpass which I should be able to use across any of my machines. It works fine on Firefox on my desktop.

So I woke up today to find that all of my add-ons and themes were disabled. I went through many forums and tried out the hotfix that was released and all that did was delete all of the add-ons I initially had. I was told that to check on the status of the studies, all I had to do was type "about:studies" into the address bar but every time I do, I'm greeted by a blank white page. Then I decided since something did happen (all my add-ons were uninstalled) to try and reinstall the add-ons. So I tried two of the ones I had previously installed and was prompted with this message, "Download failed. Please check your connection."

I'm assuming the issue is that the hotfix has not been implemented yet but the fact that all my add-ons are gone makes me wonder. Also is there any sort of add-ons history I could view to more quickly reinstall my add-ons when it'll allow me?

Today when i open my firefox all extensions are gone into unsupported extensions. But when i try the same extension again it shows error message as "file is corrupted"

I try other extensions too, but result same I try on homepage of extension too, but result same.

please help me to get out of this problem..

I've been using ublock for years. Suddenly today it disappeared from FF and I am unable to download it or any other adblocker. I re-installed FF but that didn't help. What happened?

Is it an update that made everything no longer verified? It's all disabled and there is no way for me to get them back. Not even if I removed them and tried to redownload from the store.

No sound on Firefox. Sound ok on other apps. I have tried the troubleshooting suggestions and disabled plugins, cleared cache, refreshed Firefox, re-installed, installed flash. Any suggestions much appreciated. Using Chrome which works fine, but would like to switch back to Firefox.

Today, 5/5/19 firefox rendered lastpass inoperable and it was no longer downloadable from the add-on site. I'm not using Firefox until you renable use of Lastpass.

This is a hard one to provide steps for reproduction. The next time it happens I will take a screenshot.

The issue is as follows:

I'm on a 64 bit Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS machine, with Firefox 66.0.3 installed. Every now and then (roughly once every 1 or 2 hours) I will do something in the browser, whether that be open a new tab, press play on a YouTube window or something else, the window will turn invisible. The frame of the window with the name of the tab up the top is still there, and I can drag it around no problem, but the actual content of the window is not there, I can see straight through it. At this point I've sort of ruled out it being an OS related issue, as Firefox is the only program on my system that seems to have this issue.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I have been trying to use AUSkey on Firefox for some time. I constantly receive error messages. I need to use AUSkey add on for contact with the Australian Tax office. having a browser that doesn't support AUSkey is no use. Has anyone found a solution other than Google Chrome.

It disabled my ad blocker and my Kaspersky Protection add-ons yesterday. Running latest version of Firefox and have verified that the hotfix is active as shown on the support page but still getting the exact same error when I try to add any add-ons. "Download failed, please check your connection."

I get the following message today with Add-on signing in Firefox: Kaspersky Password Manager could not be verified for use in Firefox and has been disabled. What can or should I do?

After updating to version 66.0.3 (32bit) of Firefox I noticed that some of my Privacy & Security settings are different -- I seem to remember -- from what I had previously set them to be.

Under Logins & Passwords, although neither "Ask to save logins and passwords for website" nor "Use a master password" is selected and "Saved Logins..." is empty, version 66.0.3 offers a selection on some websites.

I learn to program back in the dark ages when Assembler and Fortran where the main program languages and Cobal was being developed on a 4K and then 16K puters. Programmers really had to know what they were doing as well as being careful not to drop the trays of cards when loading programs.

It's too bad that most of today hot-shot IT wizards don't have to be as concerned!!!

Will a fix for this bug be available for tor version of Firefox, and, if so, when. The "studies" option is unavailable. "Data reporting is disabled for this build and configuration" I have Tor 8.0.8 and Win 10.

With regards to the 1549078 bug (that's the one about "what's happening with our Add-ons"):

1. I normally have Studies disabled so I had to enable the setting to get the “hotfix-update-xpi-signing-intermediate-bug-1548973”. But the setting wouldn't stay put: whenever I enabled it, then closed and restarted the browser the setting was lost. About:studies didn't show any study. 2. I saw a commenter (Dave) mention app.normandy.run_interval_seconds and how he set it to 1 sec temporarily and I started remembering that I had disabled the setting altogether. After enabling normandy and setting the interval to 1 sec, and restarting Firefox, the temp fix was active, and the Add-ons were working.

So I concluded: you have to have normandy enabled (which enables Heartbeat, Firefox' User Voice). So maybe that's what hinders the getting of the fix.

I have a question: Do I have to let Studies be enabled for the fix to be working?
