Hello,

I just upgraded to Firefox 87 and noticed that I wasn't able to go back to the previous webpage by clicking on the backspace button like what I have done in the past if I'm not using a mouse on my laptop and had to click on the back button in the toolbar with the trackpad. I'm not too sure of why that happened with the upgrade and was a little surprised about that. Hope I can be able to get around this in some way if one of you know anything about this. Thanks.

Hi I upgrated my ssd disk of my laptop. The old one ssd is not ble to reboot the windows 10 SO, so I'm not able to export credencials from in order to import into this new one. How can I import that credencials information to this new one? I have already created some credentials to some sites as needed to download software to work. Thanks in advance for your help Jorge Pimentel

I've been trying to figure out why my browser looks weird in several locations. You can see in the screenshots that elements I know should be round are square and dark outlines are appearing in both browser and app elements (all shown by pointers). I've tried searching the settings for accessibility features that might be making things stand out but I could not find anything like that. Any ideas?

(And yes I know I misspelled "quiz" in that subject line. You have a good eye.)

Hi, I'm having an issue with Firefox developer tools response in the network tab. When I look at the response it's all garbage but when I look at it in Chrome or Charles proxy it looks fine.

To replicate: 1. Go to https://www.realestate.com.au/new-homes/ 2. Open up developer tools, switch to network tab and filter by .mst 2. On the webpage click `Explorer` sub menu item 3. Inspect the response of the .mst requests and it's garbage like: PHN0eWxlIHR5cGU9InRleHQvY3NzIj4uc3RhbmRhcmRfX3N0YW5kYXJkLWNvbnRhaW5lcl9fXzFGVFJ3e21heC13aW

Hi forum The email provider for my preferred secondary email address uses greylisting. It works, very well. The confirming email from firefox is sent from a random amazon address, which gets greylisted as intended. There's a 5 minute limit for entering the confirmation code, but greylisting slows delivery of the email to around 15 minutes, waiting for the amazon sending server to try multiple times. Is there another way to update the secondary email address ?

There are only a few things that I need on right click. Open in New Tab, save image as, copy link, copy link location. Only rarely do I use the developer functions, so that over time I am accustomed to accessing the Developer Tools from the Tools tab on the main menu. The fact that many of these tools that I do not use are now on the right-click menu are causing me to make errors. I subscribe to an online newspaper that is the first item I read in the day. I go through the front page of the newspaper, I right click on articles I want to read in a new tab. I am so used to doing this efficiently from older versions of Firefox in which the right-click menu always opened where I right-clicked and therefore at the "open link in new tab" selection. Now, what happen is that I react by instinct and find myself clicking the middle of the menu and not the top. This results in errors that waste my time and cost me time and frustration.

Having read a few other problems that other people have had with updates of Firefox, I have to add my voice here. I realize that there are legitimate reasons to change some things - but these things are technical and deal with internet security - not style. It seems to me that constantly moving things around (like menu bars and the like) interrupts a user's accustomed work flows and therefore not a benefit.

It seems to me that there are two possible solutions: One is to make every aspect of user preferences editable by the user. For me, that means the main menu bar is on the top, followed by the tabs, and the right-click or context menus are editable by the user. The other solution is to create two Firefox browsers - one for the traditionalist (I'm 82) and a new browser called "Firefox Superuser".

For now, I'd just appreciate it if someone could tell me how I can get the stuff I don't use off the right-click menu.

I apologize for my grumpiness, I realize you're all volunteers. But, first thing in the morning, having to try to remember that the right click menu might not be opening with "open link in new tab" right next to my cursor is more than I can manage. I automatically click and at least 80% of the time, I'm clicking the wrong thing.

I downloaded Scribus, an open source free page layout design application from https://www.scribus.net/

link text

I can't open this application because I get a message that says: "'Scribus.app' can’t be opened because it is from an unidentified developer. Your security preferences allow installation of only apps from the Mac App Store and identified developers.

I searched the Mac App Store and it does not have Scribus. I can't afford to subscribe to Adobe Creative Cloud and I need to be able to create page layout designs, which Scribus can do.

How can I verify that https://www.scribus.net/ is a secure application site? How can I open the application if it is a secure link?

Thanks, Shelley

The firefox installation on my desktop is not able to render anything.

Even the about:preferences window is not able to show anything both under my account and a new account I made. I even attempted to update to a new version of my distro (Pop OS) in an attempt to fix it.

My Firefox account is able to do a sync (shows up in the dropdown) so it does not have to do with proxies. Chromium also works fine.

I would rather not have to use Chromium so any help will be appreciated. I have tried running firefox in safe mode and doing a "Refresh".

The import of the logins and passwords does not work on new Firefox 88.0.1. I've switched to new PC and I installed the same Firefox 88.0.1 as on old PC. I tried several times to sync old PC and new PC without success.

I exported logins to a file on old PC and I enabled import from the .CSV files on new PC. That does not work neither as I got almost all imports errors. I attached the print-screen.

On new PC even when I enter manually login and password on page the password is never saved. It looks like Lockwise is completely busted. Please let me know when could you fix this critical error ?

Dear community, I have Firefox installed on Windows with serveral user profiles. I understand that firefox caches certain inormation in the Firefox/<profile name>/cache2 directories. I know, how to clear these directories. But there is also one cache2 directory next to the profile directories directly in the Firefox folder. This directory also contains several thousand files, which seem to be updated in a similar manner as the cache2 folders in the various profile directories. I would like to know, which information is stored in that "common" cache2 and how it can be cleared. Thanks
