When I am browsing any webpage, if a link is clicked, it just automatically redirects to Yahoo DNS server error page. Also, if I am on any webpage without clikcing on any link, after 5 to7 seconds, it redirects itself to Yahoo DNS server error page. This is constantly happening even after I reinstalled, rebooted etc.

Since I update Firefox to the latest version i.e., Firefox 31, I'm consistently experiencing slow browsing issues. Plus, below are the other major problems need to be fixed ASAP:
1. Slow Browsing 2. Facebook games are running very slow (clearly the cache doesn't make any difference) 3. Alexa toolbar is not working properly (i.e., Instead of showing the site rank, it only shows "Private") 4. Upon opening more than 10 tabs, Firefox crashes and many more....
Please fix these issues ASAP.

In summary, on the date of 8/17/2014 in the evening, I experienced some very bad internet connectivity and virtually any website I visited was having difficulty loading. I know I had visited a couple of websites between the hours of 6:30pm or 6:45pm (EST) up to roughly an hour or two, and now (even though I had NOT chosen to delete even one (let alone hours of history entries) there is a chunk of mozilla history missing where I did not delete. I am seeking some assisstance finding the log of ALL of this browser's activity that day, especially a record of any alterations to browser's history. I know that I did not physically delete hours worth of activity and there must be some way of bringing this truth to light. Thank you for your time

After following all recovery routines I could research - incl. blank profile restart, re-installing Video Download helper, installing two other d/loaders, and obviously restarting firefox each time - I still can't get any extension add-on to download videos in Firefox. Video DownloadHelper has worked for years, until yesterday! And I haven't installed any new programs apart from the two d/loaders above, or visited 'weird sites'. Using Firefox Profile Manager, I could get VD-H to recognise and download 20-sec. commercials that preceded the Youtube videos I wanted - but NO recognition at all of the main video! With a normal Firefox launch, the VD-H icon is present as a gray, inactive icon, even when videos are playing. I have followed all Video Downloadhelper troubleshooting routines. I have also, as I said, tried other Extensions from the Firefox site, without success, whatever sites I attempt to download from. Can you suggest anything I could try?

1. Backup both (to a removable disk) on the old computer with Mozbackup. 2. Download and install both on the new computer. Download and install Mozbackup of the new computer. 3. Restore from the removable disk using Mozbackup on the new computer.
Is this the right idea?

but it doesn't help. mp3 attachments to gmail messages will not play in Firefox 31 for Win7 x64. I have tried clearing cache, cookies, making new profile, installing ancient WMP plugin. Nothing works. I get the "dark player" in gmail (Gmail preview) but I hear no sound, the progress bar does not move, and I get no gmail error.
Other mp3 files play fine in Firefox, just not in gmail or Google Drive. The mp3 attachments play fine in gmail using IE11 and Chrome.
Has Google disabled mp3 play in Firefox, or is something messed up with my Firefox installation?

After years and years of using Firefox, I decided to leave it and start using Google Chrome. Why ? Because Firefox returns error "sec_error_unknown_issuer" very often, when I access to my usual websites. Something must have been wrong with last Firefox update. Getting these SSL errors on every other site is starting to really get annoying! There is nothing wrong with the SSL certificates or the sites. It's your browser that is unable to verify the certificates.
When you fix it, maybe (only maybe) shall I return to Firefox.

Instead of the theme I set up there is only this basic colour like white, orange, green, etc. What's strange, themes on the mozilla website works. Been away for a while and despite my anti Australis feelings, I still give it a try sometimes to see what changes. In previous FF versions when I went to my online bank, there was no pop-up of the password manager. This of course was fine because of security. But now with FF 31 when I go to my bank, I get the pop-up of the password manager asking if I want to remember the password. I choose not to and also choose not to remember the password. But this setting is not remembered: each time now when I go to my online bank, I get the pop-up of the password manager.

I am using FF 31.0 on Windows 7 Professional 32-bit. I have a number of FF windows open, one for each project on which I am working. There are some tabs in wndows that I do not want any more. So I either close those tabs or go to other URLs in those tabs. I then cleanly exit FF. But when FF is restarted, the tabs that I had closed or changed URLs re-appear, as if I had done nothing to delete or change them. I assumed that FF, when it exited cleanly, would save all of my current windows and tabs settings, and when I "restored my previous session", I would get the same windows and tabs that I had when I cleanly shutdown. But this is not the case. How do I tell FF to save my current window and tab settings? Thanks.

something strange happened. I think firefox updated or something. I turned on my computer and loaded firefox only to find all my tabs from previous session were gone. I followed the instructions on how load previous session but it was greyed out. I went to options and changed the setting to show previous session when starting. I searched through all my history trying to find all my previous tabs (which took me over an hour). After I closed firefox and tried again all the tabs were missing again. I repeated the same process and found that the setting had changed back to show my homepage, which is mozilla. This is really annoying!!! I just want it to load up my previous session when I open the browser!! Is it really that difficult to do? Please help because I am really irritated that I have to keep searching the history everytime that I want to see my pages.

I've been using Firefox for years and never had a problem that wasn't easily fixed. However, recently Firefox is unable to download videos from youtube. I use download helper. When the save button is mashed the blue download arrow appears.
It's a real basic problem but it has me stumped. Any ideas? Thank you!
