I clicked on adding AccuWeather notifications several weeks ago without knowing the hassle.

1) I get way too many from all over but am only interested in my specific area. 2) I also use a security service with a VPN since I was hacked and it hides where I actually am located so local notifications don't work anyhow.

I contacted AccuWeather and they said it was a Firefox function. However they gave me something to try. Unfortunately it must have been an out-of-date solution and it didn't work.

Please tell me how to turn off those notifications in the current version of Firefox.

I need someone to help me NOW. I have very important medical information that I need to access and cannot get to AOL mail due to a box asking for a primary password email does not work; foxfire password does not work. there is not way to make a primary password.

I recently moved my other PC to Windows 10, then put on Firefox (browser). When I drop down the menu below the address bar, I see random web sites I apparently have used -- not what I want to see. I want what my laptop (Firefox on Windows 10, also) shows which is a set of web sites that I visit often. That list is fixed and does not deviate. THAT is what I want for my the other PC with the new Windows 10 on it. What setting(s) in Firefox controls this? I have attached a screenshot of the preferred drop down menu that I cannot seem to duplicate on the new Windows 10.

Hello, I've set FF to open addresses and search from the url bar in a new tab. I want to set that tab to open in the background, which is something I've managed to do in the past, but I can't find this option now.

What's the about:config parameter for this? Thanks

I as well as others are experiencing excessive sporadic buffering of Newsmax.com using Firefox. And, has been most of if not all year. It is the only site to do this, I play YouTube videos and stream fine otherwise. My Firefox is current and up to date. This has been going on for some time now. I'm sure FF has updated 2-3 times. OS is Win10 and current.

I use a theme which some years ago (after a change in the way Firefox handles dark-mode preferences) changed all UI and websites to use dark-mode. I was able to keep using the theme, and mostly override this behavior by setting:

`layout.css.prefers-color-scheme.content-override = 1`

However, this didn't take for some components, such as the sidebar and bookmark editor window, which still continue to use dark-mode.

Is there any way to completely disable dark-mode everywhere, and still use my preferred theme?

Hello, i have the issue that times are displayed in UTC as long I have enabled fingerprint protection. Is there a way to exclude time zones or to manually set the timezone I want?

I found this in about:config: privacy.fingerprintingProtection.overrides: string

Can I override the settings for the timezone?

Firefox blinks and then crashes when attempting to visit various websites, specifically Unsplash.com (a stock photo site) but also inconsistently on other pages including Google search results pages. I have tried refreshing, uninstalling and reinstalling, ensuring all my drivers are up to date, and disabling hardware acceleration and webGL. The only time the browser works consistently without crashing is in Troubleshoot Mode.

I'm running on Windows 11 with NVIDIA 30 series card. Firefox is on 118.0.1, driver on 537.42(latest at this time) I think it is weird that HW_DECODED_VIDEO_ZERO_COPY/VIDEO_HARDWARE_OVERLAY is blocked by gfxInfo in about:support. I have check Blocklisting. I can't found something relate to NVIDIA recent cards or driver. And I would like to ask if firefox at this time support hevc hardware decoding?

Latest Firefox 118.0.1 (64 bit) Windows 10 pro upgrade has completely disabled all tabs and comes up with a silly and annoying comment wich provides no information whatsoever. Very annoying and totally useless. Please provide fix/workaround/new upgrade without this fault infering with the program.

upgraded to the latest version today, firefox shows that translator function is now available, try now, I clicked the link to the french page and nothing, there is no translate button in the address bar, nor in the 3 dashes menu.

Now, the site responds with the fact that there is no activity and it won';t let me log in. I am using Windows 10 and the latest 64 bit version of Fireox.

Chrome has no such issue. Please advise.

i go to vegasworld.com to the home page of vegas world. i try to sign in by clicking the sign in button. the vegas world logo appears and then after around 10 seconds a green error message appears.

I don't use google as my default search and yet whenever i start typing g or go or goo, etc. the search option automatically becomes a google search. I don't even have google as a search engine option in my settings. how do i get that to stop doing that.

                         While trying to login to a website for which i have saved my username and password, firefox only autofills password, that too when clicked on the password field, it doesn't fill username in the username field.
