I have chosen to not auto-update the browser because it interferes with my work. The precise setting is called "Allow Firefox to" "Check for updates but let you choose to install them" (screenshot attached). However, this setting is not honoured. Every month, the browser auto-updates and forces a browser restart for me to continue working (screenshot attached). For 126->127, there was in fact no notification to update and the update happened automatically in the background with a restart forced upon me. What's the point of having this setting if it's not going to be honoured?

bookmarks toolbar under address bar broken setting set correctly for it to be there and there is a blank space for it to be there but none of my bookmarks that are in that folder show up changing the settings make the blank bar disappear and come back see screenshot.

Firefox home page is missing even though it is set to display just get blank screen on both new tabs and at start up of browser even though it is set to show Firefox start screen.

now every time i start Firefox it demands my master password for my passwords? just hitting cancel makes it go away though.

right click copy only works like 1/4 the time allot of the time the even though the text is highlighted copy is greyed out but using control+c usually works. that one has been happening a wile though.

Windows restarted to update and all my 100s of tabs are lost (setting me back days of work!)... Firefox is set to always reopen previous tabs, but it didn't work. Recently closed tabs/windows are blank. The Restore Session page - about:sessionrestore - doesn't restore and lists no previous windows/tabs. I went into my sessionstore-backups folder and grabbed a previous.jsonlz4 that has some data but am not sure what to do with it.

Please help! This is a devastating loss of information, as I use my tabs as a to-do list and had many in-progress projects with resources that I cannot all recover just through history.

I just clicked on my Firefox to open it and was met with a new update tab, and all my tabs had disappeared, which I have had happen to me in the past and ended up losing everything after closing Firefox and reopening it again.

So with that in mind I went to History and everything was greyed out, and so had no option but to close my browser, thinking that maybe that it had opened that one to tell me about the update and if I reopened it all my tabs would be there. Is there anyway I can retrieve all my tabs?.

We have a W10 workgroup using an unmanaged switch to hook 5 PC's together through hardwire ethernet. The switch is also the access point to the internet "modem".

I would like to cause the PCs to use wifi to access the modem ONLY for internet and Thunderbird, with the workgroup remaining on the wired system.

With both "networks" enabled in W10 the PCs are automatically defaulting to whichever method was enabled 1st. I have no idea how or if I can "split" the flow and cause FF and Tbird ONLY to use wifi.

Even though I have browser.privateWindowSeparation.enabled set on "false", private windows appear separate regardless and it is bothering me. I restarted my browser, logged out and then back in, toggled the setting on and off again, but the damn thing stays in this uncomfortable spot that would be awkward to explain as opposed to simply having it blend in with the other windows innocuously. How do I fix this?

Hi, how can I zoom in and out on websites without changing any display or layout? For example, on some sites, zooming changes the layout of the text so that it all fits on the screen. Or zooming on some sites doesn't affect the size of the images, only the text. How can I zoom in so as to see the page in its original layout but with a wider view, thus preserving the scales of all the elements (as if I were zooming in on a picture) ? (in the screen below, zooming change the relative scale of the elements) Thank you for your help.

Is it possible to save/export (and then restoring) the home screen icons/shortcuts without using Firefox sync?

I want to save its state on my disk so I can restore it later, after formatting, for example. I don't really use any sync features and I actually don't want to sign up for yet another online service if I can help it.

Hi! I wish to edit my limit on how instances firefox runs but i cant. I searched up how to change but cant find the option for it. It said that i should just untick use recommended setting in performance but all that happens is tht i get anotheter option to untick hardware accleration.

There should be a feature where you can copy the link to particular text on a webpage (much like when you click on a Google result for a certain part of an article). Where do I suggest features for Firefox?

Something happened with your new update, and now my computer is not working. i cannot get my emails to come even though i choose the email button. The wheel just keeps turning and turning, and will not ever get to the emails. The same thing happens when i try other favorites buttons on the top of the page. i do not know the correct words to describe what i am trying to say because i am not tech savvy at all. i am a senior citizen who needs my computer to work again. What has happened? i do not understand any of the directions given to me when you have answered me today. i do not understand the details! i am very frustrated right now, and have spent a lot of my day trying to get my computer working the way it did yesterday. Hello. I have an issue with Firefox. Last week Facebook stopped showing images when run on Firefox. These are in the Feed and photos, etc. I tried refreshing, clearing cookies, history and cache. I changed enhanced tracking but nothing stops this. Are there any suggestions to repair this or could it be a bug? I work on Windows 10. Please help.

I was looking for an item that would be a couple of years back in my history, only to discover that my history now only goes back a year and 3 months… Exactly, as of today, I don't know if that's meaningful. Does anyone have any idea what might've happened, and how I can restore the rest of my history? Thank you!

I'm on a Mac using Mojave, with Firefox version 115.8.

I often run into issues with PDFs in Firefox Linux. They either appear totally blank (typically after suspend/restore), or they appear with the desktop background showing through (as in the attached screenshot).

Hard refreshing the page doesn't change anything, opening a new tab and opening the PDF again doesn't change anything, opening a new window and loading the PDF doesn't change anything.
