I have used a free Hit Counter for many years that I got from https://www.freecounterstat.com/

I have 3 such counters and have stopped working in the latest version of Firefox on my desktop. They work with Firefox on my iPad and Android phone. They also work fine if I use the Edge Browser but I prefer using Firefox as I have for many years.

Firefox automatically updated itself to version 126.0 (64-bit) and it was unable to display any web sites.

First I disabled Mozilla VPN but that did not fix my issue. Next, I disabled Microsoft Defender firewall software to no effect.

Finally I updated the shortcut to Firefox on my taskbar to launch the browser. This fixed my issue.

Hopefully, this will save other users from the same pain.

Firefox - latest version, in Win 11 updated version, on my home server, will not load google.com pages, but intermittently works OK - frustratng. Other browsers, eg. Edge and Chrome access sites as normal on my laptop on my home network. My laptop using Firefox will load google.com pages when on another network. Is it my server, or Google, or Firefox doing this ?? Please provide any advice on solving this problem.

I am getting to the end of my tether with Firefox. I have used it for years but the increasing issues are driving me to distraction.

It will not display comments on the Daily Mail UK website, The Telegraph UK site and the screen is scrambled if I try to use Ebay Philippines. I am not a computer expert but I have tried to follow other peoples suggestions with no luck.

I cant see the point of persisting with FireFox unless these issues are rectified.

Any suggestions would be very welcome.

When I click on "Bookmark current tab," the small bookmark window opens as usual. But if I then click on "save," nothing happens. The bookmark does not get saved anywhere and the window does not close. Likewise, if I click on "cancel," nothing happens and the window also stays open. Only if I click somewhere outside of the bookmark window does the bookmark get saved and the window close. This has happened only in the current and previous version of Firefox. How can I fix this?

Hello, about 1-2 weeks ago a very strange problem occurred - on some pages videos don't play at all or play without a sound. Can anyone help me with this strange situation? For example, every video on youtube.com plays without a problem; on facebook.com every video plays with no sound at all; on some other pages video doesn't play at all. This problem is only with firefox, if I try to open the same videos with another browser everything is fine.

i installed a add-on program however this icon for using is not shown on browser's menu bar. there is not on personal setting, so i cannot find how do myself. wat should i do?

The blinking screen is on ebay but it just keeps on blinking. I have tried other programs and it only happens with this one and only with ebay. Thoughts?

I'm using FF on a Mac Mini, Sonoma, and for the last few days FF doesn't open in the same position it was in when I closed it. When I open FF it's about half of the size it was when I closed it. I then drag a corner to the size FF I want, but this is a very new issue.

This is my Mac Monterey. My Windows 10 is in Safe Mode With Networking. The last update will not download. That version is 125.0.3. What's available under Windows updates does not download either. Now I am running my antivirus on my Windows to see if it runs clean. I do not know why I cannot apply these updates.

Hello there, for past few days I'm having issues mainly on Twitch.tv - the streams do work fine, but whole website is displayed as text - Avatars, emotes, badges are displaying as text, or don't display at all, I'm attaching screenshots as examples. What I've tried - restarting PC, router, full re-install of Firefox, disabling all add-ons and uinstalling them (7tv and FFZ), private mode, troubleshooting mode, creating a new profile in Firefox, checked firewall settings, checked AV settings and did multiple scans - nothing was found, tried changing Firefox security Settings, also cleared cache and cookies.

Regarding other websites - this is completely random, mail works, some websites also do, but on some it gets stuck, like for example when I have to do a 2FA somewhere and get a pop-up window to click "login" or type a code, it just gets stuck and nothing shows up.

Not sure if this helps, but exactly same issues appear on different browsers - Chrome, Edge, but only on PC. I tried Firefox on mobile and it worked just fine.

If I can provide more details please let me know, I did attach the "Troubleshooting Information" so hopefully this also helps.

I have enabled my new Theme but it keeps defaulting back to my old Theme. I have tried closing Firefox and opening new tabs. Opening a new tab also changes it back to the default theme. I have sent an image of the old theme. The new theme is Aurora Australis. And the second image shows this Theme enabled. What gives? Carl

For some reason, the bullets used to hide a password are not rendered properly in Firefox. As shown by the first uploaded image, they are displayed as big white-filled circles.

This problem does not occur on chromium-based browsers, as shown by the second uploaded image, which is a screenshot taken from chromium, on the exact same session.

I have already done the following:

• verified that the "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of your selections above" box is checked in my preferences. I have also tried disabling and re-enabling this option
• launched FF in troubleshoot mode to disable extensions and hardware acceleration
• verified that gfx.downloadable_fonts.enabled is set true in my about:config

All of these attempts however failed to solve the problem.

This problem is occurring on a fresh install of a Linux distro, so I first thought that I might be missing some fonts, but the problem might lie somewhere else since the symbols are properly displayed in chromium-based browsers.

I can’t seem to open any Word files in Firefox. Doesn’t matter if it’s a new file or an old one, it just won’t open. What’s weird is that it takes me to a OneDrive page saying the file doesn’t exist or isn’t available. But when I switch to Google Chrome, everything works fine.

So yesterday I downloaded a bunch of files to mod a game. This warning appeared and since then it's been popping up every time I start the browser. I have cleared all cookies related to the relevant sites. I have removed the warning about unwanted and uncommon software. I would rather not clear all my cookies and data to resolve this, so looking for other suggestions first. I don't mind digging through files or code to make it happen.

Hey there. To get straight to the point, whenever I am watching a YouTube video on Firefox in full screen, every so often the screen goes black then slowly fades back in. I have no idea how to fix this issues and it is not my computer that is causing it (doesn't happen on other browsers, my computer was tested for a variety of problems and nothing was wrong, etc). I have also looked through Firefox Reddit help pages and the support articles on the Firefox support website but have found nothing to help. Any suggestions or help would be much appreciated! On my MacOS 10.15.7 system I upgraded from 125.0.2 to FF 126.0 this afternoon. When I started the new version of FF and acknowledged the "downloaded app OK" dialog all the tabs opened as expected except for WordsWithFriends (on Facebook). WWF draws the full board just fine but then throws a less than descriptive error message: "an error occurred. Please refresh." That is an infinite loop as it will return the same error no matter how many times retry is pressed. I logged out of FB and back in, just in case. No change. FB pages show fine, btw. Closed 126.0 and tried downgrading back to 125.0.2. That version with no longer load (or any of the previous four I had on hand). Consumes 100% of the CPU for about six minutes and then changes to Unresponsive in the Activity Monitor. WWF works fine in Safari and Chrome for what that is worth.
