I would like the content area of my tabs moved up so that the box is filled with the actual tab color, without the white background, and also the text will be vertically centered. Right now, the text is dropping too close to the bottom of the tab.
Had this looking very nice in FF 88 with the same code, as you can see in the attached images, but it seems to render differently in FF 115 ESR and FF 125.
Below is some code I used to style the tabs, but the problem exists without this code as well.
I've also included some "tabs on bottom" code I'm using as well at the very bottom.
Would sure like to get those Classic Toolbar Buttons working again too (shown in the second image), but that will be a later request :)

I'm about to give up on Firefox.
While Firefox is the browser of my choice, its bugs are a constant source of frustration. When navigating on YouTube, I'll suddenly have it stop loading properly and just load more or less blank. You can see this in the image attached. To rectify this problem, I'll need to quit Firefox completely and run a cleaner (WiseCleaner, in my instance) so that it loads correctly again. This happens across several computers I have.
As I game, I usually dual-monitor to watch things on YouTube or Twitch simultaneously. When watching Twitch with Firefox, I noticed that the video would stutter or freeze while the audio continued. I checked Task Manager and found CPU usage to be extremely high. I cannot recreate this problem now as my second monitor is in the repair shop.
Firefox is one of the only few alternatives to a Chromium-based browser. As I don't like Google policies on ad-blockers, tracking, and so on, I'd like to stay away from anything Chromium-based. But it's becoming increasingly difficult to do so, as the user experience in Firefox is so bad, especially when using YouTube, one of my main browsing activities.
I tried turning off hardware acceleration, but this did nothing. I've reinstalled Firefox, but as this happens across several unconnected browsers, I cannot think this is a local problem. What to do?

This one which worked in FF 88, now removes the icons, but leaves 4 blank buttons in a row with no text...

I cannot list any items for sale nor can I change any of my items in my store. Nothing saves and then redirects me to the homepage. eBay is one of my trusted seitz so I have no idea what’s causing this. It’s not eBay because my other accounts work fine on Chrome and on Safari. It happened exactly when the last update happened. And the only way that I can actually get back to the original site is to clear all my cookies and log out and start all over again, only to have the same issues over and over. I don’t know who to contact. I’m losing money in my Business every day because of this so I’m going to have to change my browser unfortunately if I don’t get a solution as soon as possible. The code below works, except when you press Escape.
After hitting Escape, the urlbar still has the focus but its border changes back to gray. It should remain blue.
I would also like to remove the box-shadow after pressing Escape, when the urlbar is not expanded (to mimic the behavior of FF 88).
The url and search input fields also do the same goofy thing Windows 10 does - the cursor stops blinking after 5 blinks and remains frozen. Any way to remove that behavior and keep the cursor blinking? If not, no big deal, the other stuff above is more important.
Any code suggestions to get that behavior are welcome!

One of the solutions is to install firefox from the mozilla server. On other forums, this is referred to removing snap and installing the debs. I haven't tried this.
Reading through the thread however, it seems like the snap version should work. The manufacurers id and product code for my Thetis FIDO2 usb key are present in the etc/udev/rules.d/70-snap.firefox.rules
This answer says to disable apparmor. I tried that, but it didn't work.

This isn't actually a firefox problem. KDE Neon uses the firefox package from the Mozilla Team PPA and there's nothing wrong with that package. The problem is that Neon enables app armor on firefox which breaks access to password managers and security keys. sudo aa-disable usr.bin.firefox works around the problem by disabling app armor for firefox. aa-complain was not sufficient in this case.
Is there anything else I can try?

Per the attached screenshots, the newest post shows that it was put up 26 mins before I got the screenshot, the post prior to that one does not show how long it's been since it was made. This is only in Waterfox. Not a problem with Firefox, Chrome or Edge. Waterfox is my browser of choice for all social media, so this is particularly problematic. (if you're really interested, I have items that I need to print a few hundred times in the same manner, so I disable print.always_print_silent so I don't have to deal with the pop up and can print directly by pressing ctrl+p. small time gain, but every little bit helps.
However, I need to change every so often if I want to print something else and it can be quite tedious to navigate through all the menu's. First world problem really. But I was wondering, is there a way to hotkey toggling preferences? or adding a toggle? it's probably relatively easy to create a extension with a button and a simple script, but was wondering if anyone knew of a direct way. thanks!

I have a program that continuously monitors the download folder under Windows 11 for a specific file and retrieves it. I download this file in Firefox, but the said program gives an error.
I have noticed that when files are downloaded in FireFox, they already appear in the Downloads folder with the corresponding file extension with 0 bytes and these are then apparently swapped or merged with the .parts file.
The problem is that the mentioned program now tries to retrieve the unfinished file, which then leads to an error.
Does anyone know if it is possible to customize Firefox so that the file only appears in the download folder when the download is fully complete?

I don’t understand what Firefox is doing. For example, I used to start typing the first few letters of “weather.com”, which I visit pretty much daily, and it would auto fill “weather.com”. Now it auto fills every time with http://www.weatherbase.com/. I don’t know where that came from. Similarly, I used to type the first few letters of “duckduckgo.com” and it would bring up “duckduckgo.com”. Now it brings up a magnifying glass below the url with “Search with duckduckgo”. I am thinking it might be best if I can start over, i.e. clear out any information it’s saved about where it thinks I want to go, and start remembering the sites I am entering now.
