Dear Sir or Madam,

I have been having problems with Firefox on my Desktop-PC for about a week now: I am almost always shown another tab with an error message (an new tab with allways the same content) in addition to the website that is regularly called up and also works:

Tab-Headline: Seiten-Ladefehler Fehler: Verbindung fehlgeschlagen

Beim Verbinden mit 0.0.0.1 trat ein Fehler auf.

   Die Website könnte vorübergehend nicht erreichbar sein, versuchen Sie es bitte später nochmals.
   Wenn Sie auch keine andere Website aufrufen können, überprüfen Sie bitte die Netzwerk-/Internetverbindung.

It doesn't matter which regular website I call up - it also happens when I call up the Mozilla Firefox page.

It is as if my website call is executed twice: once normally and everything is displayed correctly. And once as an extra tab with an alleged page loading error where the connection has failed.

How can I prevent these additional tabs with the error message from constantly popping up and being displayed? I have not made any other settings and Firefox has always worked perfectly so far. It doesn't happen with Google Chrome, for example - so it's not my PC.

Can you help me?

Hello everyone. Well, I've been using Firefox for a few months, maybe a semester now, I don't remember. But the point is that since yesterday I have been facing a serious problem of not being able to download any type of file (MP4, PDF, .JSON, ISO, etc.). I've already used the troubleshooting mode and I've also restarted my laptop, but it didn't help. I've also gone to the advanced settings (see 'about:config > browser.download') and reset/deleted the data for each command but the problem still persists.

What happens is the following: I click to download the file in question, however, nothing happens other than the page loading that commonly occurs when downloading something. Still, the file does not appear in the downloads tab and there is not even the option to choose where to save the file (e.g. Downloads folder, Documents folder). The download simply appears to have failed.

Exactly, it 'appears', because today I discovered that all my downloads were being directed without my permission/action to the 'downloads' folder (And that's not where I want them to go). The problem would be smaller if only this happened, as I would then just get the files downloaded there and then change to the desired folder, thus trying to move forward despite the problem. But the downloaded files themselves are not operational, they have the icon when a file is still downloading, in addition to not having a name, everything being just a cluster of codes.

In the end, there are files, large and small, that have no use and that I don't even have control over where to direct them. Which is still a huge problem because I still technically can't download anything from the browser. Please, I really need your help on how to resolve this problem.

Note: Also, when I close and open the browser, the first download I try appears in the downloads tab, but it fails instantly and cannot be resumed, making it an eternal failure.

Okay, I am unable to get into my bank online even after doing steps to fix Error code: PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR checking the site, it says this is at firefoxes end

I have a very fast internet connection, 200 mbps and everything else on both my laptop and my mobile phone are working fine but Firefox is very slow. Pages load ok but videos will play for a short time and then freeze never to continue and downloads are painfully slow, 2 to 4 mbps. Edge and Chrome download normally and videos play with no issue. I need this fixed or Firefox is going bye bye!

I use Microsoft Outlook through GoDaddy for website-related correspondence. The Outlook sign-in page has a selectable option to remain signed in, which I check. This has worked for years: each time I open Firefox, I have been automatically signed in to my email account.

Until recently.

Now, I am NEVER signed in to my account, even though I check the "Keep me signed in" box at each login.

To experiment, I downloaded Google Chrome and have been using it for a few weeks. I stay signed in using that browser, with no issues.

Any ideas about fixing this issue?

If you entered the right address, you can:

   Try again later
   Check your network connection
   Check that Firefox has permission to access the web (you might be connected but behind a firewall)

Every few hours, maybe 4 times a day, XULRunner appears and tabs me out of everything. It says "This profile was last used with a newer version of this application. Please create a new profile."

There isn't a 'create new profile' button. I already made a new profile as well, but it did not fix the problem.

I recently changed to the newest ESR, 115.10.0esr, to fix streaming issues.

Why can't Firefox copy text to the clipboard anymore? It won't copy text from a web page, from a URL, or even from about:support "Copy text to clipboard"!!! I'm using version 1.22 64 bit on windows 11. I've reinstalled Firefox but it doesn't make a difference. I've tried "Troubleshoot Mode" and it's still broken!!!

I can paste into Firefox but something has broken copy!

Recently have been unable to access the USPS Website from any of my Firefox Browsers. Firefox displays the following Message:

Was getting some crash reports....now have a black bar on top of new tabs...it finally scrolls when you are halfway down the page. any help would be appreciated.

While on michaels.com I click on a product, it goes to the product then immediately the screen goes blank. It also happens when I do a search, multiple products show up, then the screen goes blank. I don't have that issues on other websites. What is going on and how do I solve this issue?

Hi there, Last night I installed some new hardware into my PC, new motherboard and CPU for example. After that, I booted up the PC, everything worked completely fine and I was able to listen to Youtube / Twitch / Spotify etc. through Firefox.

This morning I boot up the PC, everything still works perfectly and I have audio coming from all other sources EXCEPT for Firefox. I have browsed every forum already but can not find anything that relates to me. I can't set my output device, since Firefox doesn't show up in the volume mixer. The tabs aren't muted. I have restarted Audiosrv and Windows Explorer several times. I have re-installed Firefox twice. I have tried booting it in safemode. All of the above hasn't resulted in a single second of audio. I am at a loss.

I am unable to play any videos on firefox only because of this WidevindCDN crash messages. i have updated firefox to the latest version and restarted the device and tried again however this error keeps showing up and doesnt let any video play. Please fix

I have problem in Mozilla Firefox 118 and 119 about company web app. There are several input[text] and textarea that can't type in them. But in other browsers are fine and Mozilla Firefox ver. 117 is fine too.

Btw, this app using AngularJS.

Any idea what happen and are there any solutions for this problem ?

So I opened firefox as usual, which automatically restores my previous session, but only one tab was showing, and the rest were blank and had no addresses. Then I opened firefox again after closing, and only the last tab, of the previous tabs was showing. After that I looked for restore last session, but it was nowhere to be found. What I did find, was restore recently closed tabs, so i selected that. But of course, these were the recently closed tabs, and not my previous session. After looking around on the internet, I quickly found sessionstore files, but at that point, my past files had been updated.

Where does firefox house deleted/updated files? And how can I recover "previous" sessionstore files?

PLEASE HELP!
